On July 4th, the Organizing Committee of t the 8th International Macadamia Symposium confirmed that South Africa's well-known macadamia company Golden Macadamia will organize a team of 20 people to participate in the 8th International Macadamia Symposium in China. Werner Barnard ,CEO of the company, will attend the symposium in person and give a presentation on " South Africa's Macadamia Import and Export Profile".

 As a macadamia company with GAP certification, HACCP certification and plant production and production data monitoring management system, South Africa's Golden Macadamia was established in 2000 and now is 100% owned by 95 South African macadamia growers who has jointly planted 9000 acres of macadamia. It is a well-known macadamia cultivation, production and processing company in South Africa. The company will process approximately 15,000 tons of in-husk macadamia nuts in 2018, and more than 95% of the total will be mainly exported to China, North America and Europe.

The 8th International Macadamia Symposium will be held in Lincang, Yunnan Province. South Africa's Golden Macadamia is keenly aware that China will be the center stage for the future macadamia industry. The person in charge of the company believes that helping more new production areas to control production quality and protecting the reputation of the macadamia "king of nuts" will be the most important goal of the symposium. In the future, China will become the largest producer and consumer of macadamia nuts.
