The Global Network Technology Conference (GNTC) will be opened on November 14-16, 2018 at Shangri-La Hotel in Nanjing, China.


Last year, over 2,500 attendees in the network communications industry participated in the unprecedented GNTC. This year, BII-CFIEC as the organizer will add a multiple of summits and hot workshops and invite more global top technical experts to the scene.


As the largest network technology event in China, it will set up 2 main sessions, 7 technical summits (including SDN, NFV, IPv6, 5G, Cloud, IoT & Edge Computing and Internet Infrastructure), a number of workshops (P4&Stratum, CORD, LF Networking, Network Test, etc.), covering all the hot spots of the new generation of network technologies, and all-round presenting the latest development of the industry and technology.


In this context, this GNTC conference will invite experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, network technology pioneers of countries, and selected experts of the Internet Hall of Fame to deliver speeches. In addition, the conference will collaborate with experts and contributors from Linux Foundation, ONF, MEF, APNIC, IPv6 Forum, OPNFV, ONAP, 3GPP and other communities to communicate with the audience on the latest technological achievements.We will also invite representatives of well-known global operators, major manufacturers and application units to gather in Beijing to commit to the shared mission.


Showcasing advanced technologies and discussing with industrial elites, the GNTC 2018 will invite visitors to join us in a new era of network technologies. The organizing committee looks forward to your participation.

Widely known as a “Father of the Internet,” Cerf is the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet. In December 1997, President Bill Clinton presented the U.S. National Medal of Technology to Cerf and his colleague, Robert E. Kahn, for founding and developing the Internet. In 2004, Cerf was the recipient of the ACM Alan M. Turing award (sometimes called the “Nobel Prize of Computer Science”) and in 2005 he was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George Bush. Cerf began his work at the United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) playing a key role in leading the development of Internet and Internet-related data packet and security technologies. Since 2005, he has served as vice president and chief Internet evangelist for Google. In this role, he is responsible for identifying new enabling technologies to support the development of advanced, Internet-based products and services. He is also an active public face for Google in the Internet world. He also served from 2000-2007 as chairman of the board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), an organization he helped form. Cerf served as founding president of the Internet Society from 1992-1995, and in 1999 served a term as Chairman of the Board.

Louis Pouzin has acquired an international reputation as an expert in computer communications and networks. Most of his career has been devoted to the design and implementation of computer systems, such as CTSS, the first large time sharing system at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or the CYCLADES computer network and its datagram packet switching network, from which TCP/IP was derived. Besides his experience leading teams of top professionals, he is known internationally for his participation in early network standardization activities within IFIP, ISO and CCITT, and his numerous publications, many of which have become educational material in network courses. As a lecturer, he is especially appreciated for presenting complex subjects in clear and understandable terms. He graduated from école Polytechnique in Paris. He is past chairman of IFIP-TC-6 (data communications). He has published more than 80 articles and a book on computer networks. Among awards he has received: IFIP Silver Core, ACM SIGCOMM, IEEE Internet, and French Légion d'Honneur. Presently he is Project Director with EUROLINC, an association promoting the use of native languages on the Internet.

Mr. Wu, born on Jan. 16, 1943 in Guangzhou Province, China; graduated from Wuhan Post and Telecommunications Institute. He is the President of Internet Society of China, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and research fellow of fiber optical transport network and broadband network. He was Vice-President and Chief Engineer of China Academy of Telecommunications Technology, Vice President of Datang Telecom Group in 1997-2003. He was elected Member of the CAE in 1999 and Vice-President since Jun. 2002. Mr. Wu Hequan is one of the pioneers to undertake R&D in the field of digital communications technology in China. As R&D project manager and chief engineer, his project team was the first in the country to successfully develop many telecom equipments and systems, such as PCM30 terminal equipment, FDM/TDM Trans-MUX equipment, STM-1/STM-4 synchronous multiplexing equipments, 155Mb/s and 622Mb/s fiber optical transmission system and SDH demonstration project. He was Director of communications technology experts group of State Hi-tech program (863) in 1994-2000 and currently takes on Deputy Director of Supervisory Committee of 863 program and Member of Advisor Committee of National Basic Research (973) program. He was assigned as Member of China Advisory Committee for State Informatization and was Deputy-Director of the Executive Council of China Institute of Communications. He was awarded second grade prize of the State Science and Technology Progress Award.

Dr. Jun Murai is known as the ‘father of the Internet in Japan,’ and, outside of Japan, has also been called the 'Internet samurai.’ In 1984, he developed the Japan University UNIX Network (JUNET), the first-ever inter-university network in that nation. In 1988, he founded the Widely Integrated Distributed Environment Project, a Japanese Internet research consortium, for which he continues to serve as a board member. He is a professor and dean of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University, from which he earned his PhD in computer science in 1987. He served as President of the Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC) and as Vice President of the Japanese Internet Association. He served on the Internet Society’s Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2000. In 1998, he was appointed as one of nine initial directors of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers and served until June 2003. He won the 2005 Internet Society's Jonathan B. Postel Service Award in recognition of his vision and pioneering work that helped spread the Internet across the Asia Pacific region. He was honored with the 2011 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Internet Award.

Nick McKeown has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Stanford University since 1995. In 2005 he started the Clean Slate Program at Stanford, which with Martin Casado and Scott Shenker led to "Software Defined Networking". He co-founded Nicira (now part of VMware), Abrizio and Nemo ("Network Memory", now part of Cisco), as well as ONF, ON.Lab and P4.org. In 2013 he co-founded Barefoot Networks, where he is Chairman and Chief Scientist. His current passion is to move the network data-plane from fixed-function hardware up and into software where it belongs. He hopes this will foster much faster innovation in networking, and finally hand over the keys to those who own and operate networks, to customize them to best suit their needs. Nick is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK). He received the British Computer Society Lovelace Medal (2005), the IEEE Kobayashi Computer and Communications Award (2009), the ACM Sigcomm Lifetime Achievement Award (2012), and an Honorary Doctorate from ETH (Zurich, 2014).

Andrew Sullivan joined the Internet Society as President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2018. He has worked on Internet infrastructure and standards since 2001. In 2012 he joined Dyn (later, Oracle Dyn) to establish Dyn Labs and then to manage the DNS development and architecture departments. His activities in this area led to him being appointed to the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) in 2013. His IAB colleagues elected him Chair in 2015 and 2016. Andrew's IAB tenure coincided with the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) stewardship transition. Andrew was deeply involved in the community's efforts around the transition and played a central role in its eventual success. His expertise in the area was acknowledged when he was invited to testify about the transition to the United States Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. Before joining Dyn, Andrew was a principal contributor to the Variant Issues Project (VIP) undertaken by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The VIP was an effort to bring together several different, previous efforts in support of internationalized domain names. The VIP was made of teams from all over the world, working on five major writing systems. Andrew worked with all of them to try to gather together the needs of the many different linguistic communities of the world, and the Internet's critical value as an interoperable, neutral platform. The positive results of the VIP are being expressed every day through Internet-scale internationalized domain names. At the beginning of Andrew's Internet infrastructure career, he worked to launch the .info Internet top-level domain in 2001. Because of that experience, he was part of the team that collaborated with the Internet Society to launch Public Interest Registry, and take over the operation of the .org top-level domain. These registries used PostgreSQL, an advanced open-source database management system. Because of his work in this area Andrew organized the PostgreSQL Anniversary Summit, held at Ryerson University in Toronto in 2006. Andrew was born in Buffalo, NY, USA to Canadian parents, and has lived most of his life in Canada. He holds a Baccalaureate of Arts (Hons) from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Arts from McMaster University, both in Philosophy. His graduate work on the philosophy of economics led him to his interest in free/open source software and open Internet protocols and standards. He carries that interest and passion forward to his position at the Internet Society.

George Michaelson is currently APNIC’s senior R&D scientist. Recently, he has been working on long-baseline DNS statistics, services logging, audit and analysis, and design and implementation of the Internet Number Resource Certification framework. George is a member of the BCS, and a founder member of the Australian chapter of the Internet Society. He participates regularly in IETF standardization meetings, and co-authors Request For Comment (RFC) documents, technical drafts, and conference and peer-review papers. George graduated from York University in 1982 with a BSc in Computer Science. His career in the United Kingdom and Australia has pursued research and development in computer science, networking, and systems administration.

He is responsible for working with network operators and cloud providers to define POCs and help move those POCs to trials to deployments. Aseem brings 20+ years of global operating experience in the computer networking industry and a deep passion for product management and strategy to ON.Lab. His successful entrepreneurial pursuits include ventures acquired by Cisco in 1999 and Netlogic/Broadcom in 2008. He was responsible for securing strategic customer wins at Fortune500 enterprises including AT&T, Cadbury-Kraft (Mondelez), Comcast, Fujitsu, Huawei, Kellogg, Verizon and Virgin Media; as well as federal agencies and contractors like Harris, Lockheed Martin and NASA. Nan has been well-recognized with awards/accolades, including the Leader of the Year in telecom, and one of the 100 Most Influential People in the Industry. In his past life, Nan was a record holder for pole vault at Beijing University.

Dan Pitt has been a leading voice of the SDNFV movement since its inception. He served as Executive Director of ONF from its public launch in March 2011 until September 2016 and since January 2017 has been Senior Vice President of MEF. He also advises private and public companies to commercialize new ideas and stay abreast of new capabilities. Prior to ONF he ran and advised startup companies in Silicon Valley, Australia, and Canada and served as Dean of Engineering at Santa Clara University. He held executive management roles at Nortel Networks and Bay Networks, developed and managed networking technology and HP and IBM, and taught computer science and electrical engineering at Duke and UNC. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Duke and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University of Illinois.

Hiroshi Esaki Ph.D received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1985 and 1987, respectively. And, he received Ph.D from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1998. In 1987, he joined Research and Development Center, Toshiba Corporation. From 1990 to 1991, he has been at Applied Research Laboratory of Bellcore Inc., New Jersey (USA), as a residential researcher. From 1994 to 1996, he has been at CTR (Center for Telecommunication Research) of Columbia University in New York (USA). During his staying at Columbia University, he has proposed the CSR architecture, that is the origin of Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), to the IETF and to the ATM Forum. From 1996 to 1998, he has conducted the CSR project in Toshiba, as a chief architect. Since 1997, he has involved in the IPv6 research and development at the WIDE project. He is a co-founder of series of IPv6 special project in the WIDE project, i.e.: KAME project ; IPv6 protocol stack for BSD UNIX TAHI project ; IPv6 test and evaluation specification and tools USAGI project ; IPv6 protocol stack for Linux Regarding the research/development/deployment for the IPv6, he has been very tightly and closely working with Prof. Jun Murai, who has been a political and technical advisor for the Japanese cabinet for more than 15 years. He is an executive director of IPv6 promotion council, which is cross ministry and cross industry council to promote the IPv6 technology. As the activities of IPv6 promotion council, he has established the following working groups, that are aiming to explore and to deploy the IPv6 as the professional and business operation. Since 2003, he has started the introduction of TCP/IP and Internet Framework into the facility system, which is now identified as SmartGrid, Smart Building, Smart Campus or Smart City. He successfully standardized the TCP/IP based architectural framework as IEEE1888 in IEEE, and proposing to NIST SGIP CoS (Catalogue of Standard) in US and to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC6. He is a vice chair of Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC), since 2006, and has served as an IPv6 Forum Fellow and chair of IPv6 Ready Logo Program Commitee. Helder Antunes is Senior Director, Corporate Strategic Innovation Group at Cisco. In his current position, Mr. Antunes leads a team to identify major technology market disruptions and align them with Cisco’s key market initiatives and business unit strategies. Previously, as managing director of Cisco’s Internet of Things group, he focused on Smart Connected Vehicles, one of the fastest growing market opportunities for the IT sector. Mr. Antunes also works with the Portuguese government on innovation programs including the AICEP internship “INOV Contacto Program” and is a guest lecturer at several Portuguese universities. Dr. Yang Yang is currently a professor with Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT), Chinese Academy of Sciences, serving as the Director of CAS Key Laboratory of Wireless Sensor Network and Communication, and the Director of Shanghai Research Center for Wireless Communications (WiCO). He is also a Distinguished Adjunct Professor with the School of Information Science and Technology, ShanghaiTech University. Prior to that, he has held faculty positions at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Brunel University, and University College London (UCL), Yang is a member of the Chief Technical Committee of the National Science and Technology Major Project “New Generation Mobile Wireless Broadband Communication Networks” (2008-2020), which is funded by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China. In addition, he is on the Chief Technical Committee for the National 863 Hi-Tech R&D Program “5G System R&D Major Projects”, which is funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China. Since January 2017, he has been serving the OpenFog Consortium as the Director for Greater China Region. Yang’s current research interests include wireless sensor networks, Internet of Things, Fog computing, Open 5G, and advanced wireless testbeds. He has published more than 150 papers and filed over 80 technical patents in wireless communications.

This presentation will describe how users can quickly get going with Tungsten Fabric, using software-driven networking and policy management to operate in a multi-cloud environment. Tungsten Fabric (http://www.tungsten.io; formerly OpenContrail) is an open source, scalable and multi-cloud networking platform. Large enterprises and service providers are using it at massive production scale. Tungsten Fabric is integrated with Kubernetes, VMware and OpenStack. It also supports public cloud deployments including AWS, Google and Azure. This presentation will provide a quick overview of how users are deploying Tungsten Fabric for load balancing, HA, service chaining, analytics/orchestration and extending network to multi private / public clouds viz., AWS, Azure and Google.

From 2003 he has also been working for Orange Polska as Research Expert focused on mobile and wireless systems with emphasis to self-managed and cognitive solutions. At present, he works intensively on network slicing. As a principal investigator he led many national research projects and was involved in many international projects, including FP6 MIDAS, FP7 EFIPSANS, FP7 4WARD, FP7 ProSense, Celtic COMMUNE, he coordinated Polish-Luxembourgish project on Cognitive SDN (CoSDN). Title: “A glance into the future”: Designing the Tactile Internet Abstract From virtual reality, to telepresence, augmented reality, holograms, and remotely‑controlled robotics, these future network applications promise an unprecedented development for society, economics and culture. Unfortunately, today’s “best-effort” Internet services are not able to cater to the requirements of these applications like precisely-guaranteed low latency, guaranteed throughput and high reliability. There is therefore a clear need to reimagine the Internet and redesign it so that it can provide a new breed of services adapted to these applications. In this talk, we first analyse the requirements of future applications and then highlight the limitations of the current Internet architecture and protocols and their inability to satisfy such requirements. We then discuss how the new Internet of the future should provide a new breed of services like tactile communications, high‑precision communications, qualitative communications, and holographic‑type communications.

From 2012 till now I am the coordinator of “Netoscope” project. A unique analytical resource, the Netoscope project aims at making the Russian domain space safer for users. Launched by Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ in 2012, “Netoscope” now allows data aggregation and analysis with respect to domain names addressing malicious resources in .RU, .РФ and .SU ccTLDs. She heads an association dedicated to natural languages, EUROLINC, where she is the Chairperson. In 2012 she created the company Savoir-Faire with Louis Pouzin to explore the management of TLDs on the Internet. Since 2017, it has been actively involved in the work on the new RINA Internet Protocol, which will pave the way for the Internet of tomorrow. In November 2018 she published a biography of Louis Pouzin at Editions Economica (France) retracing the life of this awesome inventor.

He is a seasoned project coordinator, senior researcher and enthusiastic innovator in wide areas of telecommunications. He has successfully turned research ideas into large projects and secured the funding for over 20 m€. He has long experience in coordinating large R&D projects in Europe. He initiated and coordinated the H2020 COHERENT project during 2015-2018. The project is one of first EU 5G PPP projects. Father of the Internet
Widely known as a “Father of the Internet,” Cerf is the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet. In December 1997, President Bill Clinton presented the U.S. National Medal of Technology to Cerf and his colleague, Robert E. Kahn, for founding and developing the Internet. In 2004, Cerf was the recipient of the ACM Alan M. Turing award (sometimes called the “Nobel Prize of Computer Science”) and in 2005 he was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George Bush. Cerf began his work at the United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) playing a key role in leading the development of Internet and Internet-related data packet and security technologies. Since 2005, he has served as vice president and chief Internet evangelist for Google. In this role, he is responsible for identifying new enabling technologies to support the development of advanced, Internet-based products and services. He is also an active public face for Google in the Internet world. He also served from 2000-2007 as chairman of the board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), an organization he helped form. Cerf served as founding president of the Internet Society from 1992-1995, and in 1999 served a term as Chairman of the Board.

Louis Pouzin has acquired an international reputation as an expert in computer communications and networks. Most of his career has been devoted to the design and implementation of computer systems, such as CTSS, the first large time sharing system at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or the CYCLADES computer network and its datagram packet switching network, from which TCP/IP was derived. Besides his experience leading teams of top professionals, he is known internationally for his participation in early network standardization activities within IFIP, ISO and CCITT, and his numerous publications, many of which have become educational material in network courses. As a lecturer, he is especially appreciated for presenting complex subjects in clear and understandable terms. He graduated from école Polytechnique in Paris. He is past chairman of IFIP-TC-6 (data communications). He has published more than 80 articles and a book on computer networks. Among awards he has received: IFIP Silver Core, ACM SIGCOMM, IEEE Internet, and French Légion d'Honneur. Presently he is Project Director with EUROLINC, an association promoting the use of native languages on the Internet.

He was elected Member of the CAE in 1999 and Vice-President since Jun. 2002. Mr. Wu Hequan is one of the pioneers to undertake R&D in the field of digital communications technology in China. As R&D project manager and chief engineer, his project team was the first in the country to successfully develop many telecom equipments and systems, such as PCM30 terminal equipment, FDM/TDM Trans-MUX equipment, STM-1/STM-4 synchronous multiplexing equipments, 155Mb/s and 622Mb/s fiber optical transmission system and SDH demonstration project. He was Director of communications technology experts group of State Hi-tech program (863) in 1994-2000 and currently takes on Deputy Director of Supervisory Committee of 863 program and Member of Advisor Committee of National Basic Research (973) program. He was assigned as Member of China Advisory Committee for State Informatization and was Deputy-Director of the Executive Council of China Institute of Communications. He was awarded second grade prize of the State Science and Technology Progress Award.

Dr. Jun Murai is known as the ‘father of the Internet in Japan,’ and, outside of Japan, has also been called the 'Internet samurai.’ In 1984, he developed the Japan University UNIX Network (JUNET), the first-ever inter-university network in that nation. In 1988, he founded the Widely Integrated Distributed Environment Project, a Japanese Internet research consortium, for which he continues to serve as a board member. He is a professor and dean of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University, from which he earned his PhD in computer science in 1987. He served as President of the Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC) and as Vice President of the Japanese Internet Association. He served on the Internet Society’s Board of Trustees from 1997 to 2000. In 1998, he was appointed as one of nine initial directors of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers and served until June 2003. He won the 2005 Internet Society's Jonathan B. Postel Service Award in recognition of his vision and pioneering work that helped spread the Internet across the Asia Pacific region. He was honored with the 2011 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Internet Award.

Nick McKeown has been a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Stanford University since 1995. In 2005 he started the Clean Slate Program at Stanford, which with Martin Casado and Scott Shenker led to "Software Defined Networking". He co-founded Nicira (now part of VMware), Abrizio and Nemo ("Network Memory", now part of Cisco), as well as ONF, ON.Lab and P4.org. In 2013 he co-founded Barefoot Networks, where he is Chairman and Chief Scientist. His current passion is to move the network data-plane from fixed-function hardware up and into software where it belongs. He hopes this will foster much faster innovation in networking, and finally hand over the keys to those who own and operate networks, to customize them to best suit their needs. Nick is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE), the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK). He received the British Computer Society Lovelace Medal (2005), the IEEE Kobayashi Computer and Communications Award (2009), the ACM Sigcomm Lifetime Achievement Award (2012), and an Honorary Doctorate from ETH (Zurich, 2014).

Hiroshi Esaki Ph.D received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1985 and 1987, respectively. And, he received Ph.D from The University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1998. In 1987, he joined Research and Development Center, Toshiba Corporation. From 1990 to 1991, he has been at Applied Research Laboratory of Bellcore Inc., New Jersey (USA), as a residential researcher. From 1994 to 1996, he has been at CTR (Center for Telecommunication Research) of Columbia University in New York (USA). During his staying at Columbia University, he has proposed the CSR architecture, that is the origin of Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), to the IETF and to the ATM Forum. From 1996 to 1998, he has conducted the CSR project in Toshiba, as a chief architect. Since 1997, he has involved in the IPv6 research and development at the WIDE project. He is a co-founder of series of IPv6 special project in the WIDE project, i.e.: KAME project ; IPv6 protocol stack for BSD UNIX TAHI project ; IPv6 test and evaluation specification and tools USAGI project ; IPv6 protocol stack for Linux Regarding the research/development/deployment for the IPv6, he has been very tightly and closely working with Prof. Jun Murai, who has been a political and technical advisor for the Japanese cabinet for more than 15 years. He is an executive director of IPv6 promotion council, which is cross ministry and cross industry council to promote the IPv6 technology. As the activities of IPv6 promotion council, he has established the following working groups, that are aiming to explore and to deploy the IPv6 as the professional and business operation. Since 2003, he has started the introduction of TCP/IP and Internet Framework into the facility system, which is now identified as SmartGrid, Smart Building, Smart Campus or Smart City. He successfully standardized the TCP/IP based architectural framework as IEEE1888 in IEEE, and proposing to NIST SGIP CoS (Catalogue of Standard) in US and to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC6. He is a vice chair of Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC), since 2006, and has served as an IPv6 Forum Fellow and chair of IPv6 Ready Logo Program Commitee. From 2006 to 2010, he served as Board of Trustee for Internet Society. He is a director of WIDE Project since 2010, director of Japan Data Center Council since 2009, and director of Green University of Tokyo Project, which is one of the important and killer application of IoT for 21st century, since 2008.

In addition, he is on the Chief Technical Committee for the National 863 Hi-Tech R&D Program “5G System R&D Major Projects”, which is funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China. Since January 2017, he has been serving the OpenFog Consortium as the Director for Greater China Region. Yang’s current research interests include wireless sensor networks, Internet of Things, Fog computing, Open 5G, and advanced wireless testbeds. With regard to contents, the IPv6-based evolution is also undergoing. It is estimated that by the end of 2018, an end-to-end IPv6 network that covers all major services will come into being. From 2012 till now I am the coordinator of “Netoscope” project. A unique analytical resource, the Netoscope project aims at making the Russian domain space safer for users. From web project manager to domain name portfolio owner for brands, she met Louis Pouzin in 1998 and has since worked with him. She heads an association dedicated to natural languages, EUROLINC, where she is the Chairperson. In 2012 she created the company Savoir-Faire with Louis Pouzin to explore the management of TLDs on the Internet. Since 2017, it has been actively involved in the work on the new RINA Internet Protocol, which will pave the way for the Internet of tomorrow. In November 2018 she published a biography of Louis Pouzin at Editions Economica (France) retracing the life of this awesome inventor.

Dr. Tao Chen has been working in the telecom industry in Europe and China for more than twenty years. He is a seasoned project coordinator, senior researcher and enthusiastic innovator in wide areas of telecommunications. He has successfully turned research ideas into large projects and secured the funding for over 20 m€. He has long experience in coordinating large R&D projects in Europe. He initiated and coordinated the H2020 COHERENT project during 2015-2018. The project is one of first EU 5G PPP projects. He initiated and serves as the technical manager of the EU-China 5G collaborative project 5G-DRIVE, which is collaborated with the large 5G trial project led by China Mobile. In the past, he was very active to promote international research collaboration. He helped set up the 5G academic collaboration program between Finland and China, which involved over 20 top universities and research institutes. Dr. Chen is the guest editor of IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Access, and was the founder and editor-in-chief of EAI Transactions on Cognitive Communications. He is the member of 5G PPP Steering Board, and the adjunct professor at University of Jyväskylä.

He won the first prize of the Technical Invention of China Communication Society and the first prize of the Higher Education Teaching Achievement of Beijing. His research interests include network architecture, network virtualization, software defined networks (SDN), information centric networks (ICN), and network testbed.
