Increasing numbers of people are working to build developer communities and spread developer adoption of software, APIs and other tools. DevRelCon is an opportunity for everyone working in developer relations — whether you call yourself developer advocate, technical evangelist, community manager, growth hacker or something entirely different — to meet, exchange ideas and start to form a community of our own.
The first DevRelCon in Asia will be held on May. 6th, 2017. It’s for technical evangelists, developer advocates and anyone interested in
developer relations, developer experience and developer marketing to explore the prospect of DevRel industry in China and beyond. More than ten speakers from Europe, America, China, and Japan will talk on leading theories with practical take-aways, while hundres of technical evangelists, community managers, CEOs, marketing leaders from Developer Service Providers exchange thoughts and ideas on the future vision of DevRel.
Speakers and sponsors to be announced later...
Besides, there’ll be a DevRel Training Workshop on May 7, from 9:30-17:00.
Brandon and Matthew will be giving the training in Beijing and here's the proposed schedule for the day:
Learn how to prepare and implement your developer relations and developer marketing strategy.
Join Brandon West (author of the The Developer Relations book, former Director of Community at SendGrid, VP of Developer Marketing and Relations at Kickbox.io) and Matthew Revell (Developer Relations Consultant and founder of DevRelCon) as they take you through:
Understanding the competitive landscape for your product.
Knowing who your target developers are.
Setting strategic goals for your developer programs.
Developing a strategy to meet your goals.
Choosing from the developer marketing mix to implement your strategy.
Building a team.
Measuring your success.
Ask the expert: bring your questions for Brandon and Matthew.
Attendees do not need to prepare anything beforehand. However, if they have questions that they'd like to ask of Matthew and Brandon then they should think about that beforehand.
