FUTURE, as defined by dictionary as “time which is to come, or something that will happen or exist later” is the most trendy,  mysterious, hope-driven and exciting word among everyone’s mouth right now. In 2019, what will the future look like from the teenager’s perspective? That’s what we are keen to know and here we are to make this platform for them to speak out loud!

The Show aims to inspire young students to think about the future from all aspects.

>>Round I

Declamation

The first round is called “declamation”, in which the participants will choose a well-known speech, and interpret it in their own way within 5 mins.

>>Round II

Impromptu Speech

In the second round, the participants will choose a given topic by draw lots, prepare and present a 5-min speech to the audience. The topics range from education, science & technology, environmental protection, health care and more, and participants will be allowed 30mins to prepare.

>>Final Round

Prepared Speech

The final round consists of two parts: a prepared speech and Q&A afterwards. Each participant is expected to prepare a 5-min speech focusing on a certain occupation, using the sentence "If I were..., I wish...", and answer judges’ questions afterwards. 

>>Criteria:

The participants’ performance will be evaluated according to their VOICE, CONFIDENCE, INTONATION, SPONTANAITY, PHYSICALITY and OVERALL. Each item is ranging from 1 point to 4 points. The participant will gain the total score based on the criteria

>>Awards:

The award for high school group and middle school group each will be: 

Astronaut Award - one student (First Prize)

Barrister Award - two students (Second Prize)

Climber  Award - three students (Third Prize) 

Diver Award - four students (Excellent Speaker)

All the participants who are selected to the final round will get our official certificates and prizes.

>>How to attend:

Notice：The participant once submit the registration，means to grant to the speech show organizer to use and display his/her photo & video for the purposes including marketing, promotion or advertising, in any and all media channels and social platforms, without compensation, payment or other consideration of any kind.

SUBMISSION

Submit video (Declamation Speech of Round Ⅰ) and script(optional) to a cloud storage(recommend BaiduYun/WeTransfer), and send the link via email.

*The organizer will inform the winners of Round Ⅰ via email/phone, and share the video clips in JingKids Shanghai WeChat posts. Selected video clips of Round Ⅱ will be broadcast duringJingKids International School Expo Fall 2019, Shanghai.
