In the long history of man’s battle against disease,We have achieved many sucesses. However, new diseases and symptoms were reported daily from every corner of the plant and become new threats of human health.Cancer is the most terrible one. From surgery to radiotherapy, chemotherapy to molecularly targeted drugs and now immunotherapy, technological breakthroughs never stop to promote the revolution of cancer treatments.
Immunotherapy is the most promising treatment for cancer in this era. It works by restoring or enhancing the recognition and combat effectiveness of immune cells, exerting their potential, and using immune system to defeat cancer cells.
In 2012, Emily, a girl who had childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia, tried an immunotherapy called chimerical antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy and then become ‘cancer free’.
In August 2015, former US President Jimmy Carter announced that he is using new immunotherapy to fight malignant melanoma. Four months later, President Carter announced that all four melanomas in the brain have disappeared. On March 22, 2019, President Carter created a record due to the 94 years and 172 days of life expectancy surpassed Bush and becomes the longest-lived president in American history. What cured the President Carter ? It is PD-1 antibody immunotherapy.
The great self-repairing ability of life is always beyond our imagination. Immunotherapy is the new hope of life in this era!
On February 14-15, 2020, “BioValley International Immunotherapy Drug Development Congress” will be hold.
BioValley & Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University & Key Laboratory of Medical Molecular Virology, Ministry of Education and Health, are hereby inviting domestic and foreign industry colleagues to seek the breakthroughs in immunotherapy drug.
Why Choose BioValley Congress ?
