Climate Change in China:

Carbon Reduction Pathway

Its Impact on German Business on the Ground

Data & Time: Tuesday, May 24, 4:30 - 5:30PM (CST)

Venue: Zoom Webinar

Language: English

China sees several lockdowns at the moment and companies all over China struggle with work resumptions and supply chains hiccups. At the same time, the clock is ticking towards China’s 30/60 decarbonization goals. The question on how China can balance the climate transition with other goals such as economic growth and social stability – especially amid the current COVID outbreaks – gets more severe. How can China balance those seemingly disparate targets in the near future?

Following the recent policies, the extent of required change is tremendous, but the impact on companies still unclear. In this webinar, experts from BCG working on climate topics in China for local companies, European companies, and the public sector, will share their perspective on key trends in Climate in China and how the carbon reduction pathway for China could look like.

The specific focus will be on what the potential impact is on German companies in China, where there are market opportunities and future challenges.

  • 4:35-5:15PM: Presentation from BCG
