Topic 1:

TQSCloud.com, a Cloud Solution to support Standardized Carbon Footprint Reporting

Carbon footprint reduction for German companies in China will be a hot topic in the next years. There are at least 3 stakeholders to be satisfied: Government, the downstream customers and the own HQ back home. Lean solutions are required now in order to keep the admin cost low and trigger economic benefits from energy savings in all possible areas as early as possible.

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wagner will introduce how TQSCloud.com helps to do that

  • standardized (underlying is PAS 2050, ISO 14064 and ISO 14067)

  • paperless

  • real time

  • transparent

  • safe (using blockchain as antitamper guard)

It supports the footprint reduction process, triggers certification of results and makes documentation towards the stakeholders easy.

Topic 2: Decarbonization in the Automotive Industry

The topic of decarbonization has gained traction following China’s announcement in September 2020 to aim for a CO2 emissions peak before 2030 and to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. The transportation sector accounts for 9% of China’s greenhouse gas emissions and the automotive industry has a significant share in the sector’s emissions over the product lifecycle. Mrs. Christiane Arsenault will present an introduction of Volkswagen Group’s decarbonization approach covering the following points:

  • Why is decarbonization important?

  • Volkswagen Group’s decarbonization approach

  • Examples of selected decarbonization levers

  • Key challenges
