Details

Nowadays, recruiting and retaining qualified staff is considered one of the top HR challenges impacting business operations among German companies, according to the Labor Market & Salary Report 2022 published by the German Chamber of Commerce in China. German Vocational Education and Training (hereinafter refer to as VET) could be a perfect solution to train your employees and support your company's growth.

The German Chamber of Commerce in China · South & Southwest invites you sincerely to attend our Vocational Education and Training Workshop on February 13th together with Dr. Tido Janssen and Mr. Chen Xiaorong from VET Solutions, AHK Greater China to have an overview of the current VET programs and service in China and most importantly, to understand your needs and discuss how we could better support you with providing classes and trainings. Furthermore, a company representative from Jiangsu province will be invited to share her experience for the AHK training program and personnel strategy.

What is the AHK VET Program?

Since 2006, AHK Greater China has been organizing various training, further education and training programs in various locations, thereby strongly supporting the development of German companies throughout China. AHK Greater China is active in more than 20 Provinces and municipalities in China to improve the local capability of the vocational education and support the HR Departments in the HR Development of German Enterprises in China.

What are the current available vocations?

  • Industry mechanics: Industrial mechanic technicians organize and control production processes and ensure that machines and production facilities are ready for operation.

  • Metal cutting mechanics: Metal cutting mechanic technicians manufacture components for machines, engines or turbines, for example. For this purpose, they usually work with CNC-controlled turning, milling and grinding machines.

  • Mold mechanics: Mold mechanic technicians manufacture stamping tools, casting and injection molds or devices for industrial series production and mechanical engineering, as well as precision mechanical and surgical instruments.

  • Mechatronics: Mechatronic technicians build complex mechatronic systems, e.g. robots for industrial production, from mechanical, electrical and electronic assemblies and components.

  • Electronics: Electronic technicians for automation technology analyze functional interrelationships and process sequences of automated systems and design modifications or expansions. Electronic technicians for industrial engineering install electrical components and systems in the fields of electrical power supply, industrial operating systems or building systems and automation technology.

  • Industrial business: Industrial business clerks control business processes in companies. In materials management, they compare offers, negotiate with suppliers and oversee the receipt and storage of goods. In production management, they plan, control and monitor the production of goods or services and prepare order accompanying documents.

How AHK VET can support your company?

To support your company the AHK VET is planning to offer customized programs in the above listed available vocations in Guangzhou / Shenzhen / Dongguan / Foshan or other locations in the Greater Bay Area based on the requirements of the participants of the workshop. Important condition for the feasibility of such a customized vocational education program is reaching the minimum number of 20 participants per vocation. In the workshop we will inform on details of the customized programs, the estimated costs and based on the feedback of the participants, we will discuss the kickoff date to start the AHK VET programs. We will also provide information about the existing AHK VET program with school partners in South and Southwest China and we will introduce the programs on further vocational training like the AEVO "Train the Trainer" and the "Industriemeister" training course.
