This year, Germany’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Act has come into force. Beginning from January 1st, the law requires German companies around the world to identify and assess social and environmental risks within their supply chains and establish effective risk management systems.
German companies in China are facing challenges when implementing the law. In order to better prepare companies for complying with the law and giving them practical advice for meeting sustainability standards in their supply chains in China, AHK China invites the German Helpdesk on Business and Human Rights for three online sessions, each covering one key issue.
Audits can serve as an additional tool to fulfill due diligence obligations. This third event in our series will discuss the role of audits for sustainable supply chains and give companies practical advice on how to apply them.
