Smart manufacturing is crucial for the future success of machinery. Two key factors in achieving this success are automation and digitalization. These factors enable deeper application of technologies such as Internet of Things, big data, cloud computing and also support the modernization of supply chain.


How are automation and digitalization integrated into the production process during the ongoing implementation of smart manufacturing in the transforming manufacturing industry? What are the current leading trends in automation and digitization? How can compliance be insured in the process of data collection, storage, and migration?
