Driving Automotive Innovation Together: Introducing Catena-X to China

July 18, 11:00-12:30

German Centre

Today's automotive industry is undergoing a significant transformation. Electric vehicles are replacing combustion engines, new digital offerings and solutions are increasing overall technical complexity and circularity creates possibilities to increasingly reduce the overall product carbon footprint of today’s products. At the same time, digitalization creates new opportunities to satisfy customer demands, scale climate friendly production processes and enable approaches to collaboratively tackle a fast-changing environment.

Catena-X’s unique value proposition is based on the core idea that these challenges and opportunities cannot be addressed by one single company alone, but only collaboratively by the entire automotive industry. The idea and vision of Catena-X is to connect car manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers of the entire supply chain via jointly developed standards and technologies. Thus, creating a trustworthy, collaborative, open and secure data ecosystem for the automotive industry of the future.

In this event, Mr. Claus Cremers, Director Automotive Ecosystems at Siemens AG and Catena-X Board member will give an overview of the Catena-X initiative and its added value for the automotive industry

Moreover, Mr. Frank Göller, Head of Digital Production & Processes at VW Group and Vice President for Internationalization at Catena-X, will elaborate on the Catena-X internationalization strategy and its Hub approach
