许昌地处“中原之中”，位于中国河南省中部，总面积4979平方公里，总人口500万人，交通区位优越，拥有集高速公路、高速铁路、航空为一体的快捷交通体系。产业特色鲜明，是全国重要的电力装备和汽车零部件生产基地、全球最大的人造金刚石生产基地和发制品生产基地，以及中西部地区最大的电梯生产基地、长江以北最大的再生资源回收利用基地。除了迅猛发展的经济势头，许昌的自然环境优美，历史悠久、文化灿烂，坐拥百万亩花木林海和110公里河湖水系，曹魏古城、神垕古镇均为这座城市得天独厚的风光名片，是中国十佳宜居宜业宜游城市。值此夏末秋初，仓箱可期之季，德国海外商会联盟诚邀您一同探索许昌的产业集群！

Xuchang is located in the ‘heart of central China’, in the central part of Henan Province, covering a total area of 4,979 square kilometers with a population of 5 million. The city has an excellent transportation location and a fast transportation system integrating expressways, high-speed railroads, and aviation, making Xuchang one of the easiest-to-access areas for modern logistics in central China and across the nation. 

Xuchang has distinct industrial characteristics, it owns an important national production base for electric power equipment and an important national auto parts production base. Meanwhile, Xuchang is the world’s largest production base for synthetic diamonds and hair products, the largest elevator production base in central-western China, and the largest recycling base for renewable resources north of the Yangtze River. 

In addition to its rapid economic development, Xuchang boasts beautiful natural surroundings with a long history and a rich cultural heritage. It has millions of acres of flowers and forests and a 110-kilometer-long river and lake system. The ancient city of Cao Wei and the Shenhou Ancient Town are unique scenic attractions that showcase the city's charm. Xuchang has long enjoyed the reputation of Top 10 Livable Cities Favorable for Industry & Tourism in China. The ‘Industry Cluster Insights’ series aims to help German companies understand the advantages of China’s industrial development, establish links with local players, experience regional development, and explore business opportunities by visiting cities where China’s manufacturing industry clusters are located.
