Founder and CEO of STARTORUS FUSION
He holds a bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering and Technology from the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, and a master's degree and doctorate degree in Economics from the University of Sydney Business School, Australia. He was an associate professor at the School of Finance, Central University of Finance and Economics, and published several research papers during his tenure, with deep understanding in the field of corporate finance. In 2016, he founded Sucheon Technology in Xiamen as a co-founder, and was awarded the "2018 Emerging Enterprise Award ". In 2021, he and Tan Yi, an alumnus of Tsinghua University (Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University), relying on the research results of the Fusion Laboratory of the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University for nearly two decades, jointly proposed a more technologically advanced spherical tokamak fusion scheme and co-founded Startorus Fusion, which focuses on commercializing fusion energy.

Fellow of American Physics Society and China National Distinguished Expert, Co-founder, CTO and Director of Experimental Department at Energy Singularity
Dr. Guo is a Fellow of American Physics Society and China National Distinguished Expert, Co-founder, CTO and Director of Experimental Department at Energy Singularity. Dr. Guo has worked as the Director of Boundary and Plasma Material Interaction Center at the U.S. national fusion program DIII-D, served as the Coordinator for US-China Magnetic Fusion Collaboration activities for the U.S. Department of Energy, a member of ITER Science and Technology Committee for the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and a member of China National Magnetic Confinement Expert group. Dr. Guo has made seminal contributions to the advancement of science and development of fusion energy, from the advanced tokamak approach to alternative fusion concepts. Among these were key contributions to tokamak research on the largest operating magnetic confinement projects on three continents – the Joint European Torus in the U.K., the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak in Hefei, China, and DIII-D in the U.S. – as well as to major alternative fusion concept research programs at the University of Washington and TAE Technologies. Dr. Guo authored over 400 publications in top international scientific journals, including Nature Physics, Nature Communications, National Science Review, Physical Review Letters,Nuclear Fusion, Physics of Plasmas etc..
