12th International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering

First Circular
1. BACKGROUND
The International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering (ISOPE) is originated from the China-Russia bilateral academic conferences. Russia Chita held the 1st conference, in 1993. Successively they were held from the second to the eleventh, in Harbin China (1996), Chita Russia (1998), Lanzhou China (2000), Yakutsk Russian (2002), Lanzhou China (2004), Chita Russia (2007), Xi’an China (2009), Mirny Russia (2011), Harbin China (2014), Magadan Russia (2017).
The 12th International Symposium on Permafrost Engineering (ISOPE2024) will be held in Lanzhou, China on Oct 11-13, 2024 for further research on interactions between frozen ground in cold region and the environment, engineering, climate, ecological, and continue to deepen the scientific and technical exchanges and cooperation in the fields of permafrost science and engineering between Russia and China and other countries.
