PRESIDENT AT CHRISTIE'S ASIA PACIFIC
With a distinguished career spanning 17 years in premium and luxury consumer goods, Francis Berlin joined Christie’s in 2016 as Global Managing Director, Asian Art and has held the position of President in Christie’s Asia Pacific since January 2019. He manages all Asia Pacific-based teams and serves as the key decision-maker for all transactions conducted by Asia-based collectors on a global scale, spanning live, online, and private sales. His global purview extends to the supervision of Christie’s Asian and World Art department, as well as the Luxury department. As part of his visionary leadership, Francis Berlin is overseeing a groundbreaking initiative to relocate Christie’s APAC headquarters to The Henderson in 2024—a prominent new structure in Hong Kong's central business hub with 50,000 square feet of art-inspired space. This move aims to enhance Christie’s ability to deliver exceptional service to clients and enthusiasts, boasting a year-round saleroom and state-of-the-art gallery presence in Asia. Outside of his corporate responsibilities, Francis Berlin is a member of the Board of Advisors for Kids Earth Fund in Japan and serves on various boards as non-executive Chairman and Independent Non-executive Director.
