EVENT DETAILS :
The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) officially launched the long being awaited Provisions on Promoting and Regulating Cross Border Data Transmission (CBDT Provisions) on March 22, 2024. The CBDT Provisions are no question a very positive step forward which substantially reduce the regulatory procedural burden associated with transmitting data out of China to the rest of the world. While this does not necessarily mean that the topic is gone and the respective implications shall be properly assessed and accommodated.
In this session, Dr. Michael Tan will share his team's analysis of the CBDT Provisions including some hot topics of concern in this context. A Q&A session will follow after his sharing session.
AGENDA:
15:45 - 16:00: Registration
16:00 - 16:05: Welcome speech by the German Chamber of Commerce - North China
