On March 22nd, the CAC officially released the “Provisions on Promoting and Regulating Cross-border Data Flows”. Compared with the previous version, this new regulation makes a series adjustment to the scope and mode of cross-border data regulation. The adjustments mainly reflect the three directions of “narrowing the scope of regulated data”, “expanding the scope of personal information exempted from data exit prior approval” and “utilizing the advantages of specific regional cooperation”.
To help German companies in China better understand the content of the new regulation, the German Chamber of Commerce in China (GCC) plans to organize the first Roundtable (closed-door exchange) on “Cross-border Data Transfer” in this Year on May 16, 2024 (Thursday). On this occasion, we will invite experts from CAC to communicate with German companies and answer their questions. In addition, we will also invite professionals to analyze and compare the current relevant policy formulation of several FTZs.
Due to the limitation of the event venue, this event is limited seats. First come, first serve. When registering, please also inform us of the questions you will be asking at the event, thank you for your cooperation!
