The German Chamber is delighted to invite you to join our next edition of "WE.C.U. – The Network of Executive Women in German Companies in China" on September 12 in the office of German Chamber of Commerce · East China


This time, WE.C.U. invites Ms. Maria Pastorelli, who discusses with female executives from German companies about how to showcase their achievements and be recognized for efforts at the workplace, how to manage expectations with superiors, how to navigate conflicting stakeholders' priorities and solve problems for the mutual benefit of yourself and your leaders, by mastering the art of "Managing Up".

 

Within the WE.C.U. event series, the German Chamber creates a place to broaden the business experience among executive women of all industries and cultures by sharing, discussing and analyzing approaches on how women can climb the career ladder. We harness the power of professional women being together to inspire each other in order to achieve your goals and aspirations.

About Maria Pastorelli:

Maria Pastorelli is a coach, facilitator, and consultant supporting leaders and teams working better together to create global impact. Since 2011, she has coached professionals from 20+ countries in international companies in China, APAC, and Europe, gaining unique insights into cross-cultural leadership and team challenges. Maria holds an ACC credential from the International Coaching Federation and an ODCP certificate from the Institute of Organizational Development. She founded the Global Women Entrepreneurs Network in 2018 and is a TEDx speaker, author, #IAmRemarkable facilitator, and Mentor at MentorWalks Shanghai.

    In June 2022, Dr. Sigrid Winkler was appointed Deputy Executive Director at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | East China and is in charge of the membership organization at the Chamber as well as the development of strategic projects for the organization. Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber in spring 2016, initially as Project Manager Social Responsibility where she was responsible for the More than a Market initiative and was promoted in October 2016 to Executive Chamber Manager. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Vienna University. Before joining the German Chamber, she was Head of Office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency (OeAD) in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.
