What’s happening at the German Chamber this year? What are our key focus topics for the future?
We are pleased to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025, followed by an exclusive Chamber Dinner, taking place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center. This event offers a unique opportunity for our members in North China to gain first-hand insights into the Chamber’s latest activities, strategic priorities, and upcoming initiatives.
As part of the AGM, we will also bid farewell to Mr. Hubertus Troska, Chairperson of the German Chamber of Commerce in China – North China from 2022 to 2025, and express our sincere appreciation for his leadership and dedication to the Chamber community.
Chamber Dinner: Exploring “Localization 3.0” – with a Taste of German Asparagus Tradition
At the Chamber Dinner, we will dive into the topic of “Localization 3.0”, exploring the market forces driving the next wave of localization efforts by German businesses in China.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Thomas Becker, Vice President, Government and External Affairs, Sustainability, BMW Group, as our keynote speaker. Dr. Becker will share insights into BMW’s localization strategy in China, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and regulatory dynamics.
The keynote will be followed by a panel discussion featuring senior representatives from companies such as Airbus, T-Systems, Merck, Ottobock, and LABOURS, who will offer diverse perspectives on current localization trends, strategic responses, and practical implications for doing business in China.
Special Culinary Highlight – White Asparagus Dinner
As a seasonal and cultural delight, guests will enjoy a traditional German white asparagus (Spargel) dinner – a cherished spring specialty and a beloved part of German food culture. The dinner celebrates the peak of Spargel season and offers a delicious taste of home for our German community in Beijing.
Join us for an evening of insightful discussions, valuable networking, and a flavorful tribute to German tradition. We look forward to welcoming you to our AGM and Chamber Dinner on May 22, 2025!
