Symposium on Circular Economy:

Unlocking the Potential of German Companies’ Contributions in China

Language: English

Date & Time: June 17, 2025, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Venue: Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai

No. 181 Yongfu Rd., Xuhui District, Shanghai | 上海市徐汇区永福路181号

China moves forward with greening its economy. Becoming more circular plays a key role in this journey. With decades of experiences in sustainable practices, Germany is well-positioned to partner up. This is also shown by the ongoing dialogue on circular economy and resource efficiency between Germany’s Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUV) and China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

To exchange on this topic on a practical level with German companies operating in China on the ground, the German Consulate General in Shanghai and the German Chamber of Commerce in China are jointly hosting a symposium that brings together experts from key industries, such as automotive, chemicals, and manufacturing, exploring ways to increase recycling efficiency, become more circular, and create more sustainable business models.

Join us for a Symposium on the Circular Economy!
