The Asia-Pacific Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (APASL) is the most authoritative organization dedicated to liver disease research in the Asia-Pacific region. Founded in August 1978, it is headquartered in Singapore. Covering countries including China, Japan, South Korea, and Australia, APASL has established specialized subgroups focusing on chronic hepatitis B, hepatitis C, severe liver diseases, and other key areas. It regularly organizes annual liver disease conferences and academic seminars.
Since its establishment, APASL has developed a series of clinical practice guidelines, such as the APASL Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Chronic Hepatitis B and the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Primary Biliary Cholangitis. In 2020, it released the Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Metabolic-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD), which defines diagnostic criteria and management standards for the disease.
The APASL Annual Meeting is the most authoritative and influential international academic event in the field of liver diseases in the Asia-Pacific region. It has long led the direction of disciplinary development and brought together the wisdom of top experts worldwide. As an officially authorized thematic conference of APASL, this event will focus on the theme of Liver Transplantation for Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD). It will invite leading experts from around the globe to conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge advancements and clinical practices in liver disease research, facilitate the sharing of the latest research outcomes among global scholars, and promote disciplinary innovation and international cooperation in the field of liver disease research and treatment.
(1)Participating enterprises shall conduct supporting activities in strict accordance with relevant regulations such as the Nine Prohibitions on the Construction of Medical and Health Professional Ethics. The form of support shall comply with the requirements of national laws and regulations, and no form of deception or misleading of conference participants shall be allowed. Participating enterprises must strictly abide by relevant laws and regulations including the Anti-Unfair Competition Law and prohibit any unfair competition practices.
(2)This conference is a professional medical academic event. Enterprises engaged in the R&D and production of relevant pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and other relevant entities may participate voluntarily. Participating enterprises must hold production and operation qualifications issued or recognized by the relevant national competent authorities.
(3)Participating enterprises shall conduct strict review of their own exhibition content to ensure that the content and form of exhibitions during the conference are scientific, authentic, healthy, and clear. They shall not violate the relevant provisions of laws and regulations such as the Pharmaceutical Administration Law, Advertising Law, and Interim Measures for the Examination and Administration of Advertisements for Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Health Food, and Special Medical Purpose Formulas. No form of deception or misleading of conference participants shall be allowed. In case of violation of this provision, the participating enterprise shall bear the corresponding legal responsibilities.
(4)Participating enterprises must comply with the fire control, safety, epidemic prevention, and other related systems and regulations of the conference venue and the conference organizing committee, and cooperate in the implementation of relevant work.
(5)Participating enterprises shall not carry out activities unrelated to the conference and exhibitions during the conference period, and exhibition activities shall not affect the normal conduct of academic activities. In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, government expropriation or restriction on the use of the venue, etc.) resulting in the postponement or cancellation of the conference, the host unit shall not bear joint liability except for fulfilling the obligations stipulated in the contract.
