China's new VAT Law and related Implementation Regulations, which came into effect on January 1st, 2026, demonstrate that China's VAT system is moving in a positive direction, entering into a new phase of legalisation and standardisation; but with these changes also come a new set of challenges for corporate tax compliance.
In a new session taking place on April 2nd, Kenneth Leung, Supply Chain and Indirect Tax Lead Partner at KPMG China, will share his professional insights and help attendees explore the key provisions of the Implementing Regulations of the VAT Law and their impact on businesses, focusing particularly on the below areas:
Policy Interpretation: Comprehensive comparison and analysis of the major changes between the VAT Law, its Implementing Regulations, and current VAT policies, along with professional interpretations.
Impact Analysis: In-depth analysis of key policy points and their potential impacts on businesses.
Strategy Development: Collaborative exploration with attendees to develop practical solutions and implementation pathways, helping businesses navigate this transition smoothly.
