AI is rapidly moving from experimentation into day-to-day business operations. From production and product development to customer service, HR and internal knowledge management, companies are exploring how AI can improve processes and create real business value. At the same time, the regulatory environment is evolving just as quickly.

In China, AI is already regulated across a wide range of business activities – not only when AI itself is the product. Several new rules, judicial guidance and administrative measures introduced in 2026 add another layer that companies operating in China need to understand. What do these developments mean for the use of AI in production, product liability, customer service, marketing or HR?

But compliance is only one side of the equation. Many companies are still struggling to move from promising AI pilots to applications that work reliably in everyday operations. A key challenge is often not the AI model itself, but access to a company’s own knowledge – from manuals and service reports to contracts, emails and revision histories.

Our AI Roundtable brings these two perspectives together: the latest regulatory developments in China and the practical realities of implementing AI in business.

Following three expert inputs, we will open the floor for an interactive exchange. Participants are encouraged to bring one AI use case, pilot, idea or challenge from their own company and share their experiences with the speakers and fellow participants.
