Open Source - Flowing Continuously and Harmoniously with Mountains and Seas!
The 8th China Open Source Conference (COSCon 2023), the most influential open source event in the industry, will be held on October 28-29, 2023 (Saturday to Sunday) at Jingronghui in the High-tech Zone of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, hosted by Kaiyuanshe.
Kaiyuanshe is a non-profit, vendor-neutral, volunteer-based open-source community coalition with significant influence in the domestic and international open-source community. We focus on open-source governance, internationalization, community development, and open-source projects. The COSCon annual event we have been committed to creating over the years also focuses on these four core areas.
COSCon, with its unique position and increasing influence, has attracted more and more support from top companies and international foundations. Unlike general corporate, IT media, industry associations, or foreign foundations holding industry conferences in China, COSCon attracts different users from across enterprises and cross-project communities and focuses on attracting attention and participation from open-source developers.
This year's COSCon theme is "Open Source: Flowing Continuously and Harmoniously with Mountains and Seas."
We believe that the water of open source will be like a stream flowing through mountains and rivers, never-ending and never dried up. Whether it is a "peak meeting" or a "sea meeting," there is always a place for you who are committed to open source.
In the first year of the "post-COVID era," we will adopt the "campfire mode," which means that we will hold After Parties in cities interested in hosting them after the main conference to spread the "open source spark" that gathers from around the world across the country, promoting the spread of open source culture and exchanges among open source people in various cities. The cities planning to hold After Parties currently include Beijing, Shanghai
The forum themes we have planned include but are not limited to artificial intelligence, open-source business, cloud computing, big data, blockchain, the Internet of Things, open-source education, open-source culture, open-source governance, open-source hardware, open-source operating systems, women's forums, open-source public welfare, web application development, open-source toolkit, and lightning talks. In addition to various conferences, we will also hold distinctive "Open Source Markets."
In addition to exhibitor booths, the Open Source Market will have various interesting small activities and games, popularizing open source culture in a gamified and entertaining way and advocating the open source spirit.
