Dr. Ding serves as the Executive Director of Chemistry at Viva Biotech. He oversees a portfolio of projects for Medicinal Chemistry and Synthetic Chemistry for clients from both North America and Europe. As a distinguished leader of the Viva Chemistry team, Dr. Ding has made significant contributions to the success of multiple chemistry projects that reached key milestones since his joining in 2015. His core scientific expertise is in the Medicinal Chemistry for structure-based small molecule drug discovery that is further strengthened by his skills and experience in applying computational techniques and AI-based tools. A blend of client-centric management and good communication ensures timely delivery of high-quality services with client satisfactions. Dr. Ding received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from UCSD with his thesis work focusing on the design and synthesis of small molecules targeting viral RNA’s. His academic and industrial work has been published in journal articles and patents.
