The SMART Symposium is an international academic conference co-organized by the Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation (SMART) and the Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL). The Symposium, which will be held in the most pleasant seasons in Shenzhen, provides a platform to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and communication among biomedical researchers around the world.
In the past February and May of this year, we have successfully held two “trial” symposia with featured themes. The first focused on Innovative Research, and the second highlighted Bio-Architecture & Bio-Interactions. These events attracted nearly 3,000 participants both online and in person.
Now we are expecting the Inaugural SMART Symposium on Frontiers in Biomedicine to be held from October 30 to November 4, 2023. A program that reflects the cutting edge of biomedical research is being assembled. The tentative sessions include:
Molecular Physiology
Neuroscience
Neuro-Development
Infectious Disease
Neurological Disorders
Cancer Research
Neuro Immunology
Lipids and Membrane
Reproduction & Ageing
Bio-Architecture
Computational Biology
Neurodegeneration
As a special treat, the symposium will conclude with a half marathon on Saturday November 4, along a scenic lakeside trail in Guangming District, Shenzhen. Registration for the Inaugural SMART Symposium will start soon. We look forward to welcoming you in Shenzhen.
