Andy Wang
Founder and CEO of BabyTree
Huainan Wang is a co-founder and the chief executive officer of Babytree, a parenting website in China. Previously, he was a senior executive at multinational corporations such as McKinsey, P&G, Yahoo, and Google. Wang has many years of experience in the fields of strategy consultancy, internet searching, and e-commerce.
Mr. Wang holds a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University. He also obtained a master’s degree in sociology from Columbia University and an MBA from George Washington University.
Dave Liguang Chenn, MBA ′00
Founder, Chairman of the Board, and CEO, China Century Group, Inc.
China Century is a multinational company with over US$4 billion assets, focusing on energy, tourism, technology, healthcare, and finance sectors. Prior to his entrepreneurship staring from 2005, Dave had worked as a head of Oracle’s Great China Region Government Industry, as well as a director of product marketing in Oracle’s Silicon Valley headquarters for five years, and Emerson Electric in Chicago. In addition to his successful career, Dave has also been active in engaging in charities and public activities, including but not limited to Global Advisory Council of Chicago Booth, Beijing Institute of Technology and China’s Green Fund Committee. Dave has donated over $20 million to support education in both China and the US these years, including a $2 million donation to University of Chicago in 2015.
Mr. Chenn holds an MBA from University of Chicago Booth Business School, and a BS from Beijing Institute of Technology, China.

Shirley Cheung, BA ′97

Shirley Cheung is the founder and chief executive officer of Nuoxin Food Company Limited which runs www.lecake.com, the number one an online cake brand in China. From 2016, Nuoxin has extended its manufactures into the dessert, bakery and festive items. Shirley founded her fashion label, China Lane, in 2006 with a boutique and design studio in Paris and a garment factory in Shanghai. China Lane collections have been collected by Netherland Fashion and Art Museum in 2007. Prior to her fashion start ups, Shirley worked at Lane Crawford Hong Kong, DDB & Needham Advertising Agency and Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Hong Kong.
She earned her master degree in fashion marketing at Parsons School of Design in New York and her bachelor degree in economics at University of Chicago.
Dennis Zhu, MBA ′93
Ex-MD, Oaktree Capital Management, L.P.
Dennis Zhu was the Managing Director with Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2005, Mr. Zhu was the Managing Director and Chairman of Greater China Operating Committee at JPMorgan Chase. Mr. Zhu focused on formulating and executing strategies to build JPMorgan’s Investment Banking practice and markets business in the region, developing and maintaining important business and government relationships and providing strategic advice on new businesses and transactions to the senior management of JPMorgan Chase. Between 1994 and 1999 Mr. Zhu worked at Credit Suisse First Boston in the Equity Capital Markets department and as the Head of China Businesses. From 1992 to 1994 Mr. Zhu worked at FMC Corporation’s Investment Analysis Department in Chicago. Between 1982 and 1990 Mr. Zhu was with the Ministry of Finance in China.
Mr. Zhu received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, his Master degree in Economics from The Ministry of Finance Research Institute, and his B.S. in Economics from the Hebei Institute of Geology.
