Allen Lau, MBA ′99
Founder and CEO, Shanghai Weijia Technologies Inc. (WE+)
Mr. Lau is currently the founder and CEO for We+ , one of the biggest co-working space operators in China., with 47 spaces in 17 major cities an China, US, and Finland. He is also the founding partner of Colony New Yangtze Fund that invests in start-up companies in health care, biotech, Internet, and entertainment sectors. Mr. Lau has extensive experience in PE investments and asset management across the globe, including the acquisition of the Singapore Raffles Hotels Group, acquisition and privatization of the Fairmont Hotel Group in Canada. Before joining Colony in 2005, Mr. Lau was a VP in Investor Asia. Prior to that he was a consultant with Bain and Company.
Mr. Lau received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University, and a MBA from University of Chicago.
Huafeng Yu
Founder and CEO, Benlai.com
Mr. Yu is founder and CEO of Benlai.com, the leading online grocery in China. Before founding Benlai in 2012, he had extensive experience in media industry and held several high-profile posts, including Vice President of NetEase, Key funding members and CEO of Beijing News, the joint initiative between Southern Metropolis Daily and Guang Ming Daily, as well as CEO and one of the key funding members of Southern Metropolis Daily, one of the most influential newspaper in China.
He received his bachelor degree from Reming University of China.
CEO of Sensetime. Dr. Xu has more than ten years experience of computer vision, basic research and product development of artificial intelligence. He was successively engaged in research work in the Motorola Research Institute, Omron Institute, Microsoft Research Institute, Lenovo Institute and other computer vision basic research.
Dr. Xu graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University and got his Ph.D. from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Nan Liu
Founder and CEO, Mia.com
Ms. Nan Liu creates the first Chinese imported maternal & infant flash sales platform. This business hits the pain points of the China's maternal and baby shopping experiences. She has resolved mothers shopping anxiety, subconsciously changed the Chinese retail industry, especially the consumption habits of the maternal and infant sector which last for the past 20 years. Meanwhile, she creates a miracle of China's maternal and infant e-commerce: in just 3 years time, she has lead Mia from a unknown-to-others company to a 500 million GMV business and the business. The company has promptly completed 4 rounds of financing and valuation is over 10 billion RMB. In 2015, Mia was honoured as "the Unicorn Enterprise" by Forbes.
Ms. Liu received Bachelor and Master degrees in Journalism from Peking University.
Mingming Huang, MBA ′01
Founding Partner, Future Capital Discovery Fund
Mr. Mingming Huang, Founding Partner at Future Capital Discovery Fund, has built a reputation as a successful serial entrepreneur and active angel investor, with more than 20 years operational experience in both TMT and industrial sectors. He was the founder of Z.com, Kanbox Inc., 265.com and Flashget, and had been Director of 265.com since June 2006, Director of Baitai Media since September 2005, and Director of Cheshi.com since September 2006. He served as Independent Non-executive Director of Kingsoft Corporation Limited from June, 2007 to July, 2011. He had once worked with Hewlett-Packard, Siebel CRM Systems, Inc. and PeopleSoft, Inc. As an active angel investor, Mr. Huang has made successful investments in a number of start-up companies, such as Autohome Inc. and Manyougu Information Technology. He later founded Future Capital Discovery Fund in 2014. The recent invested portfolios invested by Future Capital include, among others, Chehejia, Niu Technology, Sensors Data, QKM, Zhongke Shituo, Qi Min Pian, Yihang Intellitech, Desu CNC, Orange Robotics.
Mr. Huang received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Science degree in Electric Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
