Clas Neumann, Chairperson of the Board of German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and Senior Vice President, Head of SAP Global Labs Network SAP China Co., Ltd. Clas Neumann is Global Head of the SAP Labs Network since 2009, and has been leading the Fast Growth Market Strategy team since 2013. In his role as Labs Head, Neumann acts as the central coordinator of all network activities. In his role as Head Fast Growth Market Strategy he leads the investments for SAP’s growth markets in Africa, China, Middle-East and Russia. Neumann has co-authored different books & article son innovation in emerging markets and been recognized through different awards for his engagement in society and business.

Jörg Wuttke

Jörg Wuttke is Chief Representative of BASF China, based in Beijing. Wuttke is President of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China – an office he already held from 2007 to 2010 and from 2014 to 2017. Wuttke is a member of the Advisory Board of the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) in Berlin. He contributes regularly to the Swiss financial blog https://themarket.ch/. Wuttke has lived in Beijing for more than three decades.

Dr. Stephan Wöllenstein

Since August 2016, Dr. Stephan Wöllenstein has served as CEO of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand for China and Executive Vice President at Volkswagen (China) Investment Co. Ltd. Dr. Wöllenstein has been with Volkswagen since 1995 and has extensive experience across sales, marketing as well as product management. His working life includes in total 12 years in China. He has fulfilled leading positions in both Volkswagen’s Chinese joint ventures, SAIC VOLKSWAGEN and FAW-VW. Dr. Wöllenstein holds a degree in economics and business administration and obtained a doctorate in marketing.

Mattie Bekink
China Director of The Economist Corporate Network at The Economist Group
Mattie Bekink is responsible for the Economist Corporate Network’s China strategy, including programme development and client engagement across China. She also provides support to all Economist Corporate Network programmes worldwide with a China component. Ms Bekink has extensive experience in the public, private and policy sectors. Prior to joining The Economist Group, she was the Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in the Netherlands. She also ran an eponymous consulting business, advising senior executives from businesses, universities and non-profit organisations on China policy, strategy, public affairs, and corporate social responsibility. Ms Bekink practiced law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, has worked with the US-Asia Law Initiative at NYU Law School and the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative China Program, and served in the legal department at General Motors China. Ms Bekink has a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and a JD from the Georgetown University Law Centre.

Adam Dunnett (Moderator)
Secretary General at European Union Chamber of Commerce in China
Adam Dunnett is responsible for the overall implementation the European Chamber's objectives, visibility, membership and lobbying activities across its 7 chapters and 9 offices in China (Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Shenyang and Tianjin). Adam joined the Chamber originally in 2006. He served first as the senior business manager, then as the Beijing general manager, and since 2013 has been the secretary general. Between 2011 and 2012 he also worked at the public affairs firm APCO Worldwide as the deputy managing director. From 2000-2004 he worked at the Canadian Embassy in Beijing as a commercial officer. Adam holds dual British and Canadian citizenship. He holds an M.A.in International Development from the International University of Japan, and B.A in foreign languages from the University of Victoria.
