Dong Liang

CO-FOUNDER, CHAIRMAN and CEO, SIYOMICRO

Dong Liang, Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of SIYOMICRO, also serves as a Shenzhen consulting expert for the major special project in synthetic biology technology, and recognized as a leading entrepreneurial talent in Jiangsu Province. During his time at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), he participated in several research projects of general programs for scientific and technological R&D, including the 863 Program and the 973 Program, and led or contributed to the authorship of eight invention patents. Dong Liang was involved in the project of the Key Technologies R&D Program of 863 Program managed and directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology – “Advancement of Research and Application of Heat-Resistant SOD Enzyme”. In 2015, he joined in the scientific expedition team of “Dayang Yihao” (Ocean No. 1), and isolated a heat-and acid-alkali-resistant yeast from a deep-sea hydrothermal vent in southwest Indian Ocean at a depth of 4,500 meters. This led to the development of an ultra-stable SOD capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 100℃, revealing significant applications of deep-sea extremophilic microbial resources combined with synthetic biology. Dong Liang also conducted scientific expeditions in outdoor locations such as hot springs in Costa Rica and Quzhuomu Township in Tibet, where he collected extremophilic strains. Adhering to the principle of serving society through scientific research, Dong Liang established SIYOMICRO in 2015. Within a 200m² laboratory, SIYOMICRO successfully achieved industrial-scale production of SOD in just 2 years, and sold the products to hundreds of high-quality cosmetics and food clients. Moreover, SIYOMICRO provided customized development of raw materials for these clients. This approach transformed clients into strategic partners, allowing SIYOMICRO to continuously explore the applications of synthetic biology in various fields such as food, cosmetics, agriculture, environmental protection, and materials.

With over five years of technological accumulation, EACON has achieved numerous firsts in the technological commercialization of unmanned mining operations.It has become a leading player in this specialized field and established deep strategic partnerships with several large mining enterprises.EACON offers secure, reliable, and environmentally-friendly solutions to address the challenges of safety management and rising costs in mining scenarios.EACON has achieved the operation of the world's largest fleet of 115 autonomous mining trucks in a single mine and become the leader in the industry as shown by data.It has become the industry's first commercially implemented company.In the upcoming years, EACON will not only comprehensively develop domestic commercial layouts for autonomous mining but will also venture beyond borders to contribute to the global development of intelligent mining.

Wang Yu

Dr. Yu Wang received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University and became a visiting scholar at the University of Glasgow. He has received numerous honors, including the Special Scholarship, the highest student honor at Tsinghua University, and Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis Award, 129 Counselor Award, Beijing Excellent Graduate Award, and Wang Daheng Optical Award for Outstanding University Students. From 2017 to 2020, he served as a researcher and assistant investment manager in the Electronic Industry Research Department of Everbright, and received the Advanced Individual Award. Since 2020, he has co-founded Seetrum with Professor Yidong Huang and Associate Professor Kaiyu Cui, both from the Department of EE at Tsinghua University.
