Since entering China in 1899 and establishing its first R&D and production base in 1992, Siemens Healthineers has grown to operate six R&D and manufacturing sites and two global innovation centers across the Yangtze River Delta, Greater Bay Area, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Guided by its "Made for China" strategy, the company continues to expand and deepen local R&D and production. By fiscal year 2024, over 130 products—including CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, molecular imaging, angiography systems, radiotherapy equipment, and digital health solutions—have been developed and manufactured in China.

In recent years, the company has significantly increased its investments in China. In May 2023, it announced a total investment exceeding 1 billion yuan to build a new high-end medical equipment R&D and manufacturing base in Shenzhen. The new facility will cover 63,000 square meters and is expected to be operational by the end of 2027. It will focus on the research and production of angiography equipment and core components for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems.

西门子医疗自1899年进入中国， 1992年建立首个研发与生产基地，现已在中国拥有六大研发生产基地和两大全球创新中心，主要分布在长三角、粤港澳、京津冀区域。公司践行“国智创新”中国战略，不断拓展和深化在中国本土的研发和生产。截至2024财年，累计已有130余款产品在中国研发生产，包括CT、磁共振、X光机、超声、分子影像、血管造影机、放疗设备、数字医疗解决方案等。此外，西门子医疗也是跨国医疗科技公司中最早把核心零部件放到中国生产的企业之一。目前，X射线球管、磁共振的超导磁体、射频系统、梯度线圈等核心零部件均已实现本土研发与生产。

近年来，公司持续加大在中国的投入。2023年5月，公司宣布追加投资超10亿元人民币在深圳建设全新高端医疗设备研发制造基地。该基地于2025年1月破土动工，预计2027年底投产，建成后深圳基地的总体规模将达到现在的三倍。
