Dr. Lou took office as President and Chairman of BASF Greater China in January 2022. He oversees the company’s operations, business development, and research and development in Greater China.
Prior to the current role, he was President of Advanced Materials & Systems Research of BASF group from 2019 to 2021, leading the global R&D team to drive innovation for customers from various industries. Under his leadership, BASF’s R&D presence in China was further enhanced – BASF broke ground of the third phase expansion of its Innovation Campus Shanghai.
From 2015 to 2019, he was Senior Vice President of BASF’s Global Battery Materials business, leading R&D, production and sales of cathode active materials for lithium-ion battery globally, to meet the needs of the fast-growing new energy vehicle market.
Jeffrey joined BASF in New Jersey, USA in 2005. During the first ten years with the company, he was responsible for strategic planning and business management of various business units, covering chemical intermediates, catalysts, polyurethanes and performance materials. Over the years, he accumulated rich industrial experiences and developed strong business acumen.
Jeffrey was born in Zhejiang Province, China. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University, China.
Mr. Lou Xiang is an experienced business manager in the petrochemical and investment sectors. He holds a bachelor's degree from Central University of Finance and Economics, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), as well as professional qualifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Tax Agent.
Prior to assuming the position of Vice Chairman of Yongrong Holding Group, Mr. Lou served as President of Hengyi Petrochemical, a Fortune Global 500 company. This leadership experience at a top-tier industry platform not only honed his outstanding overall management capabilities, but also enabled him to build profound expertise in industrial operations and strategic investment. Leveraging this foundation, he plays a leading role in guiding the Group's overall strategic layout and sustainable development practices at Yongrong Holding; with his keen insight into industrial trends, he has effectively driven the Group's green transformation and high-quality development.
William Yu was appointed as President of Honeywell China in February 2022.He is responsible for driving Honeywell’s organic growth in China and building a strong talent pool across the board to support the company’s long-term “East-for-East (E4E)” strategy. William will work closely with the businesses to drive Key Strategic Accounts initiative at the C-Suite level to bring One-Honeywell solutions addressing the most critical needs of customers.
Before returning to Honeywell China, William held multiple leadership positions at Honeywell. He led the Honeywell Smart Energy business under the Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT) - now known as Honeywell Energy and Sustainability Solutions, in the United States, serving as Global Vice President and General Manager. Prior to that, William led Honeywell China and PMT Asia Pacific businesses. William joined Honeywell in 2017 as Vice President and General Manager of PMT for Asia Pacific.
William brings to Honeywell a long track record of significant growth in multiple industries. He previously served as Senior Vice President and APAC President of Allegion, a global pioneer in safety and security solutions and a spin-off from Ingersoll Rand. Before that, William spent 16 years at Ingersoll Rand in several senior executive roles, including President of its Security Technologies and Residential Solutions business in Asia Pacific.
William is a renowned expert in Lean Six Sigma and serves as a Visiting Researcher and Professor at multiple universities including Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shanghai International Studies University. He lecturers at the School of Management at Shanghai Fudan University and the School of Business at East China University of Science and Technology. He is also a member of the Shanghai Institute of Management Science and a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality. William has authored more than ten books on business management and Six Sigma practices.
William earned a bachelor’s degree in German from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology and an Executive MBA from China Europe International Business School.

Hui joined the leading home furnishing brand IKEA in 2010, and with 15 years of experience in IKEA, Hui has acted as Global Category Leader in IKEA of Sweden, New Business Manager in IKEA Purchasing Operation Area East Asia, Platform Development Leader in IKEA of Sweden and now she is the President of IKEA Supply Area East Asia, based in Shanghai.
She is a leader with excellent leadership, international view, and innovative thinking. Over the past decade, she successfully introduced Chinese office chair manufacturers into IKEA comprehensive product development system, through a global sourcing strategy. Starting from scratch, she built a new business team in East Asia and led the team to successfully introduce new materials such as recycled PET, and renewable plastic PLA to IKEA. Led the development of modular platform for IKEA's table and chair series, which accounted for 10% of IKEA global business volume. This platform innovation significantly reduced product development time while enhancing efficiency and quality. And now, Hui's leadership elevated her supply region to the top position in IKEA's global rankings, to develop and support the supply business for IKEA products in East Asia. Her series of achievements have not only made an indelible contribution to IKEA global business growth but have also made a positive impact on the optimization, upgrading, and development of the furniture industry in China, as well as the circular economy development.
Graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Industrial Design and Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden with a Master’s Degree of Production and Operation Management.
In 2023 and 2024, Hui was continuously ranked in "Fortune" China Most Powerful Women Future List, while also clinching the "2024 Shanghai Supply Chain Innovation Leader" award.
Mr. Simon Huang is Vice President of Haier Smart Home, General Manager of the Capital Markets Department, and Chief Sustainability Officer. He is responsible for driving the development, execution, and post-investment management of strategic investment projects to support the Company’s global growth. He has led a wide spectrum of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, minority equity investments, capital raising, restructurings, and the formation of joint ventures and partnerships. In his capacity as Chief Sustainability Officer, he oversees Haier Smart Home’s global ESG strategy and execution. Mr. Huang holds an MBA from The University of Hong Kong.
Ms. Li Ge, with the title of senior economist, has 30 years of work experience in the construction machinery industry. She has an insight into the dynamics of the construction machinery industry and brand development trends.She has relatively unique insights and understandings in aspects such as talent building and brand culture building. Currently, she is the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of XCMG Machinery and the global chief brand culture officer.
Mr. Dou Yan currently serves as Vice President of TCL CSOT, where he oversees the company's strategic management, globalization, and sustainable development initiatives.
With years of extensive experience in strategic management and globalization, Mr. Dou Yan possesses a keen insight into the complex geopolitical landscape and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Chinese enterprises in their global expansion. The Chinese Narrative on Responsible Mining
Executive Director of the Center for Mining Biodiversity Research and Promotion at Central South University and Graduate Practice Tutor at the School of Labor and Human Resources at Renmin University of China. With nearly three decades of experience in rule-making influence and industry coordination. He possesses extensive expertise in ESG strategy and risk management, supply chain compliance and systems building, business and human rights risk mitigation, biodiversity conservation and life cycle management, stakeholder engagement and community conflict resolution, as well as grievance mechanisms and crisis communications. He has served as an ESG management consultant to over thirty multinational corporations and is a certified training expert appointed by multiple Chinese ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Ministry of Natural Resources. For four consecutive years, he has led train-the-trainer programs on business and human rights for faculty members from more than twenty universities. He is also a registered expert in several working groups of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Xie Xionghui serves as the Executive Director, Vice President, member of the Strategic and Sustainable Development (ESG) Committee and the Execution and Investment Committee of the Board of Zijin Mining Group. Also holding the position of Director of the ESG Office. He joined the Zijin Mining in 2001 and possessed extensive practical experience and professional expertise across multiple fields, including corporate legal affairs, mine production operations, safety and environmental protection, as well as international operational experience.. He is dedicated to the development and study of corporate sustainability (ESG).
Mr. Xie is dedicated to building a responsible mining enterprise, promoting harmonious and stable development among multi-stakeholders such as the company, shareholders, employees, and the community. He has led many projects in stakeholder communication, OHS, community development, environmental protection, and climate action transition. He has introduced several international ESG standards to Zijin and advanced its international development. He organized the formulation of Zijin Mining's Code of Conduct, ESG strategy, ESG management system, and information disclosure system, including leading the development of the first domestic non-ferrous industry "Zijin Mining Climate Change Action Plan" based on the TCFD framework.
Mr. Xie graduated from the Huainan Industrial Institute majoring in geology and mineral resources exploration. He is a lawyer, professor-level senior engineer and a registered safety engineer with the qualifications of registered consulting engineer (investment) and grade-one constructor. He is also the member of the ESG professional committee of the CAPC, arbitrator of the Shenzhen court of International Arbitration.
Dr. Wang Yong is a founding partner of Greenment. With over 35 years of experience in environmental investment, management, consulting, and research, he has provided long-term advisory services to private enterprises, multinational corporations, and governments in areas such as environmental, safety, and health management, leadership, sustainable development, risk management, corporate social responsibility, low-carbon strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and green investments. Dr. Wang has offered strategic research and consulting services for acquisitions, mergers, and new projects of renowned multinational companies, including Alcoa, Shell, Air Products, BP, Michelin, 3M, PPG, Nissan, Baosteel, CNOOC, and Sinochem Group, covering site selection, regulatory compliance, environmental risk and social impact assessments, and sustainable development (ESG).
Dr Wang has led the ESG due diligence, framework development and implementation of ESMS for the Simandou Project in Guinea.
Dr. Wang is leading the Sustainable Development project for a leading Chinese chemical and synthetic fiber manufacturer. The project is a multiple year study including baseline review, internal and external stakeholder engagement and the development of the Sustainable Development strategy for the company.
Dr. Wang was a senior partner of ERM Group and the managing director of ERM China in 1997-2009. Prior to that, Dr. Wang acquired his PhD at the Centre for Environmental Technology, Imperial College, UK. He was an associate professor and Deputy Director of Department of Environmental Sciences, East China Normal University (ECNU).
From Watts to Bits: Green Power Fuels the Computing Revolution
Jiu Guidong has been serving as the Director of the Low-Carbon Research Institute and the Technology Center at Shuangliang Energy Saving Systems Co., Ltd. since joining the company in January 2018. He is fully responsible for the group's innovation, R&D, and management. During his tenure, he has successfully restructured the company's technological innovation system, promoted the industrialization of multiple R&D projects, and overseen several products achieving annual sales exceeding RMB 100 million. Additionally, he has built a dedicated R&D team of nearly 50 members with master's or doctoral degrees, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as hydrogen energy and energy storage.
His primary research focuses on mid-deep geothermal energy utilization, thermal energy storage, and hydrogen production via electrolysis. Technologies developed under his leadership, including the ultra-long gravity heat pipe and liquid-cooled energy storage, have already been successfully industrialized.
As a key scientific leader, he has led or participated in several major national and provincial-level research projects, such as a sub-project of the National Key R&D Program of China and the Jiangsu Province Industrial Prospect and Key Core Technology project. He also played a leading role in establishing the Jiangsu (Shuangliang) Photovoltaic and High-Efficiency Energy Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center.
His research has yielded significant outputs, including 18 authorized invention patents, 46 utility model patents, and over 10 academic publications, 6 of which are SCI-indexed. He has also contributed to the development of 3 national standards. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to technological innovation and commercialization, he was selected for the Wuxi Taihu Lake Talent Innovation Team in 2022 and the Seventh Phase of the Jiangsu Province "333 High-Level Talent Training Project" in 2024.
His greatest motivation within the company stems from the ability to industrialize R&D outcomes and leverage the corporate platform for rapid personal growth, viewing company resources as an extension of his own capabilities. Shuangliang provides full autonomy with no cap on R&D funding, demonstrates deep respect for talent in team, and enables smooth industrialization of research results through the sales networks of its subsidiaries.
As a Sustainability Expert and ESG Director at LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., he leads the company's sustainable development strategic planning and ESG management system establishment, coordinates sustainable information disclosure and ESG ratings improvement, while taking charge of addressing climate change and low-carbon transformation across the entire value chain, and promotes the company's social welfare projects to fulfill corporate social responsibility.
He has led the compilation of LONGi Corporate Social Responsibility/Sustainability Report and Climate Action White Paper for consecutive years, and driven the company to become one of the first "Partnership for Early Awareness" of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). He established the company's full-value chain carbon management system, helping LONGi become the first enterprise in the photovoltaic industry to obtain the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) certification, and successfully built the first "Lighthouse + Zero-Carbon" factory in the photovoltaic industry. He promotes the company's participation and implementation of international sustainable initiatives such as RE100, EV100, EP100, and WEPs, and leads the team to maintain the company's leading position in major ESG ratings including MSCI, S&P CSA, CDP, and IPE. Mr. Wu Jiachun currently serves as the Vice President of the Cloud, Compute & Storage Product Line at H3C, overseeing product support and related solutions for the company's cloud, server, and storage portfolios. With over 20 years of experiences in the communication and information technology sectors, Mr. Wu possesses extensive expertise and deep insights into digital transformation and IT infrastructure development across industries such as telecommunications, finance, energy, and enterprise.

Yao Chenchen is the Head of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) at Jinkosolar Co., LTD. Catherine Jin oversees Human Resources (HR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at Sony China.
Catherine Jin has successfully led Sony China's strategic HR transformation and HR Digitalization, leadership development and employee empowerment schemes, including Career Plus programs, Engineer Talent Community and "Youth Power" project, etc., and built a diversified and inclusive corporate culture with passion for innovation. During her 30 years leadership experience, Catherine Jin used to be HR overall leadership for more than ten countries, and successfully managed several strategic global M&A projects.
In the ESG field, Catherine Jin built the ESG Strategy and Midrange Plan for Sony in China. Mr. Zhang Xin currently serves as Deputy General Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Secretary of Wuliangye Yibin Co., Ltd. With over two decades of extensive experience in financial management and corporate operations, he has built and upgraded Wuliangye's “Sustainable Development System” through strategic foresight and effective execution.

Prior to her sustainability focus, Jee headed M&A and investments for L'Oréal in Asia. She spearheaded acquisitions of Asian beauty brands and investments in C-beauty companies and technologies. Jee’s career also includes over two decades of experience in marketing and advertising with agencies across Asian markets.

Ke Zhao has nearly two decades of experience at CICC, combining investment banking leadership with extensive relationships across multinational corporations, leading Chinese enterprises, regulators, local governments.
Her career began in the U.S. in commodity trading, followed by serving as Executive Assistant to CICC’s Chairman and CEO, where she was deeply involved in international affairs, senior corporate engagement, and major conferences.

Prior to joining Suzano, Heidi was an innovation, sustainability and communication expert with extensive international experience in the chemical and green building sectors.

She holds a Doctorate degree in Cardiovascular Medicine from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, was a visiting scholar at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NIH, USA), and obtained an EMBA degree from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Previously, she served as Associate Medical Director of Metabolism at Roche Asia Pacific R&D Center, Associate Researcher and Master's Supervisor at Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Head of Genomics at Shanghai Key Laboratory of Vascular Biology, and Director of Shanghai Society of Biophysics. Leading the clinical research team at Hua Medicine, she drove the development and successful launch of dorzagliatin, a global first-in-class oral new drug. As a representative of Hua Medicine, she also successfully participated in the National Medical Insurance Negotiations with dorzagliatin.
Currently, she is a member of the Committee on Clinical Research of Drugs for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases and the Committee on Clinical Research of Drugs under the China Pharmaceutical Innovation and Research Development Association (PhIRDA), as well as a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Institute of Smart Healthcare, CEIBS.

Leah Liu is Head of Capital Market and Investor Relations, Vice President of Insilico Medicine. Ms. Liu has nearly two decades of experience in capital markets and investor relations, with an impressive track record of executive leadership roles at both listed and pre-IPO companies and has been recognized with multiple industry awards.
Prior to joining Insilico Medicine, Ms. Liu served as Joint Company Secretary and VP of Corporate Affairs at Everest Medicines, as CFO at Laekna Therapeutics, and as Head of Capital Markets at I-Mab. Mr. Lou Dongyang currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of China Merchants Energy Shipping Co., Ltd. (CMES, stock code: 601872.SS). Dr. Andre Rittermeier is Head of Group Innovation & Sustainability Asia Pacific and Head of the Innovation Center Asia Pacific at Covestro, based in Shanghai. A member of the Covestro leadership team in China and the Asia Pacific region, he has been serving in this role since January 2023.
Dr. Rittermeier began his career in 2010 as a Research Manager at Bayer Technology Services GmbH in Leverkusen, Germany, where he led projects in reaction engineering and catalysis for approximately three years. Between 2013 and 2017, he worked as a Process Expert and Laboratory Manager for Covestro in Dormagen, Germany. During this period, he was responsible for improving and optimizing the thermal process for Covestro’s chlorine recycling network at the Caojing Site in Shanghai, contributing significantly to energy reduction, cost efficiency, and enhanced production performance.
From 2017 to 2021, he served as Venture Manager and Start-Up Manager at the Caojing Site, where he successfully built and launched a new world-scale production plant. Between 2021 and 2022, Dr. Rittermeier was the first Plant Manager of Covestro’s European TDI plant in Dormagen, Germany – a world scale facility with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons.
