珠海摩天宇是MTU航空发动机股份公司与中国南方航空股份有限公司50/50的合资企业，致力于CFM56-5B/-7、LEAP-1A/-1B、V2500-A5和PW1100G-JM等窄体飞机发动机的维修。珠海摩天宇是目前亚洲最大的窄体发动机MRO厂，拥有世界上最大的试车台之一。

自2025年3月起，珠海摩天宇位于金湾的新厂区已正式投入运营。该厂区将专注于普惠PW1100G-JM型发动机的维修业务，全面投产后年产能预计可达260台发动机进厂维修。这是珠海摩天宇对厂房产能的第三次扩容。结合仅20公里外的主厂区，金湾新基地将使珠海摩天宇成为全球规模最大的航空发动机维修基地，年总产能（入厂维修）将突破700台发动机/年。

2020年，公司完成了厂房的第二次扩建，扩建后厂房的年产能可达每年450台；2021年，公司加入普惠PW1100G-JM发动机的维修网络并迎接了首台PW1100G-JM发动机进厂维修，陆续引进无线工作站、数字流水线、FOS固定维修系统、AGV机器人等数字化项目，并在珠海金湾区开始了新厂的建设；2023年，金湾厂区的试车台投产，保税厂区的培训部项目投入使用；2025年，珠海摩天宇公司金湾厂区正式投产，公司交付了建厂以来累计维修的第5000台发动机。

MTU Maintenance Zhuhai is a 50/50 joint venture between MTU Aero Engines and China Southern Airlines Company Limited specialized in narrow body engine maintenance for CFM56-5B/-7, LEAP-1A/-1B, V2500-A5 and PW1100G-JM engines. It is the largest MRO site for narrow-body engines in Asia. It operates one of the largest and most advanced test cells in the world. 

Since March 2025, the additional site of MTU Maintenance Zhuhai in Jinwan has been in operation. It focuses on Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engines and have a yearly capacity of up to 260 engine shop visits once ramped up.

This is the 3rd time for MTU Maintenance Zhuhai to expand its capacity. With both sites, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai will became the largest maintenance repair and overhaul facility for narrow body engines in the world, with an annual shop capacity of over 700 shop visits. 

In 2020, the company completed its second site expansion to a capacity of 450 shop visits per year. In 2021, it signed an agreement with Pratt & Whitney to join the PW1100G-JM engine maintenance network and inducted its first PW1100G-JM engine while introducing wireless work station, digital flow line, fixed overhaul system, AGV robot fleet and other digitalization appliances in the shop; In the same year, it also started construction of an additional facility in Jinwan district of Zhuhai. In 2023, the test cell in Jinwan, as well as a new training center at MTU’s original site in Zhuhai, started operating. In 2025, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai celebrated the opening of Jinwan facility and completed the 5000th shop visit since its establishment.
