LT1: The Palace Museum - Lunch - The Temple of Heaven
Time: 08:00 –16:00, Oct. 22, 2018

Leaving at 0800, first visit the Imperial Palace Museum. It is located in imperial palace of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. There is a series of halls and palaces spreading out on either side of a central axis. Some of the halls contain furnishings showing the splendor in which the emperors lived. There are many historical and valuable items including clocks, paintings, ceramics and calligraphy.
After lunch (provided in the fee), visit the Temple of Heaven. It is located in the Royal Garden, surrounded by pine hills and also well-preserved temple buildings. It reflects the relationship between heaven and earth, which occupies the core position in ancient Chinese cosmology. At the same time, these buildings also reflect the unique role played by the emperor in this relationship.
Return to the hotel at 1600.

LT2: The SummerPalace- Lunch –The Hutong

Leaving at 0800, first visit the Summer Palace in the morning. The Summer Palace is the largest and most complete imperial garden in China, one of the four famous gardens in China.
After lunch (provided in the fee) visit a Beijing hutong. Beijing is an ancient cultural capital which has more than 3000 years history as a city and 850 years history as a capital. Hutong culture has a long history. Nine meters wide, hutong is the name given to a lane or small street that originated during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368). Beijing hutongs are hundreds of years old and expanded quickly in number in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Hutongs are the symbol of old Peking life and culture. The tour will visit a hutong by old tricycle, during which it may also be possible to visit people's homes.
Return to the hotel at 1600.

LT3: The Great Wall - Lunch –The Ming Tombs

Juyongguan Great Wall is built in a 15 km valley. The both sides of Great Wall have overlapped mountains, lush trees, blooming flowers and beautiful scenery. About 800 years ago in the Jin Dynasty, it was listed as one of Yanjing eight scenery, known as the "green pass". After lunch, visit the Changling, it is the primacy of Ming Dynasty Tombs. It is largest, oldest and best preserved buildings on the ground in Ming Dynasty Tombs. It is the ancestors of the Ming Dynasty Tombs, is also one of the main tourist spots. Return to the hotel at 4:00 p.m.

Beijing opera or Peking opera is a form of traditional Chinese theatre which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance and acrobatics. It arose in the late 18th century and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century. The form was extremely popular in the Qing Dynasty court and has come to be regarded as one of the cultural treasures of China. It has also spread to other countries such as the United States and Japan.
