Welcome all guests to join the accompany tour of IMMC10, 2019. Nantong, the radiant pearl studded on the north wing of Yangtze River delta, faces metropolis Shanghai across Yangtze River. Over 100 years ago , local-sage Mr Zhang Jian, worked on initiatives in fields of agricultural reclamation, water conservancy, industries and education. Day 1 Thursday, September 19

2:30PM: First you will visit China's first public museum-the birthplace of China's Museum Industry, Nantong museum, (about 1.5h). It was named as a “National Major Protected Historical and Cultural site” by the China State Council in 1988. Nantong Museum is located on the Bank of Haohe River in Nantong with beautiful scenery. It was founded in 1905 by Zhang Jian, the pioneer of China's early modernization and Number one scholar of the late Qing Dynasty. The exhibition area of the Museum is 450 square meters. It is divided into three basic exhibitions: historical relics, revolutionary relics and natural specimens. The exhibits on display of historical relics come from primitive society to the late Qing Dynasty, among the modern cultural relics, there are Zhang Jian's handwriting, documents, and physical and historical pictures of the founding of Dasheng Mill, salt reclamation and cultural and educational undertakings. The revolutionary cultural relics reflect the revolutionary struggle of the people of Nantong from the May 4th Movement in 1919 to the December 9th Movement, the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation. The natural part includes living animals and plants, specimens, fossils and minerals.

Then, you will visit Visit Zhang Jian's former residence and learn the story of Zhang Jian, a outstandign man who founded many "first" in China (Chinese modern industrialists and educators, founded China's first public museum, China's first normal school, China's first textile professional school, etc.). He advocated "saving the nation by industry".He founded more than 20 enterprises and 370 schools in his lifetime. He made valuable contributions to the rise of modern Chinese national industry and the development of education. He was known as the “Number one scholar Industrialist". Chairman Mao once said ” Light industry should not forget Zhangjian” when it comes to China’s national industry.

Day 2 Friday, September 20

9:30AM: Chinese abacus museum, covers an area of 30 mu, with a building area of 6,000 square meters and holds more than 10,000 abacus cultural relics and historical materials. It is the largest abacus museum in the world at present. The main structure of the museum is novel, unique and interlaced. It consists of three parts: Bo Gujianjin (exhibition hall), Happy Qizhi Park (children's abacus＆mental arithmetic school) and Riverside Scenic Area (landscape). It integrates display, research, teaching, communication, tourism and other functions. The Haohe River which encircles the city, known as “the jade necklace around a girl's neck”, the Chinese abacus museum has become one of the most dazzling pearl. The museum displays all kinds of abacuses from ancient times to the present including the world’s largest and the smallest abacus. Everyone would amaze the wisdom of the ancients in China after visiting the museum!

2:30PM: ZNC Shopping Mall located on Taoyuan Road, is a large comprehensive shopping mall with apparel, entertainment, dining and beauty products. Many international brands has entered to the mall, including DIOR, ZARA, H&M, UNIQLO, MUJI, SEPHORA, etc. 

Day 3 Saturday, September 21

9:30AM: We will visit the Blue Calico Museum, the first professional museum founded by Master of Chinese Crafts and Arts Yuanxin Wu in 1996, which integrates collections, display, research, inheritance and production protection. The  printing and dyeing techniques of Nantong blue calico have been approved by the State Council and listed in the first batch of "National Intangible Cultural Heritage List" by the Ministry of Culture. Nowadays, the Nantong blue calico printing and dyeing techniques have been leading the industry. The art and culture which represented by blue calico is walking into the world. 

2:30PM: Located in the High－Tech park of the National Nantong Economic & Technological Development Zone, Jiangsu Alphay Bio-Technology Co, Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise that dedicated itself to scientific research, production and sales in the field of health foods and skin care products using edible and medicinal mushrooms as raw materials. Day 4 Sunday, September 22

9:30AM: The tour guide will meet you and pick you up around 9:30 am, then drive you to the Shenshou Art museum, its predecessor is “Women’s needlecraft institute of Nantong”- the first embroidery school in China. The museum displays a group of historical photographs and embroidery objects of Shenshou, a modern Chinese embroidery master and introduces  shen shou's artistic achievements and the essence of her disciples' embroidery art in detail. Walking into the lobby, you will find two pots of orchids highlight the statue of Shenshou who is delicate, demure and quiet, which gives you a feeling of kindness. On the chest of the statue, there is a medal symbolizing her past achievements and glory.
