The More than a Market initiative, initiated by the German Chamber of Commerce in China, together with the German Consulate General Shanghai, is deeply rooted in Sino-German business relations and Chinese society. Launched in 2015, the initiative aimed to consolidate the German business community's existing social engagement efforts in China. Starting in 2023, the awards, held every two years, have focused on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), celebrating the progress and achievements of German companies in China in this field.

“同心 同力 同行”（More than a Market）倡议由中国德国商会与德国驻上海总领事馆联合发起，深深植根于中德经贸关系与中国社会之中。该倡议于2015年正式启动，旨在汇聚并提升德国工商界在中国的社会责任实践。自2023年起，该奖项每两年举办一届，聚焦环境、社会与公司治理（ESG）领域，表彰德国企业在华取得的可持续发展进展与成就。
