We are thrilled to invite K-12 Chinese language educators from all educational settings to our Online Back to School Language Teachers' Workshops, launching our 2025–2026 Literacy Workshop Series.
Join us to learn, reflect, and co-create as we explore practical, research-informed strategies for building a strong foundation in literacy instruction. Whether you teach in immersion, heritage, bilingual, or world language programs, this workshop is designed to support and empower your classroom practice.

Workshop Focus
This session will introduce power routines that teachers can apply from day one to:
•Jumpstart literacy growth
•Build student confidence and collaborative learning skills
•Create meaningful learning structures
•Support multilingual development through intentional daily practice
Refund Description:

Justin Zhang, Ph.D., is a dedicated educator and educational leader specializing in educational technology and pedagogy. Currently serving as Assistant Professor and Director of IBEC at Namseoul University, he brings extensive expertise from his previous role as Head of Chinese at an international school in Hong Kong. With a Ph.D. in Educational Technology (Cum Laude) and dual Master's degrees in Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching, Dr. Zhang is a registered teacher in both the US and UK who fulfills multiple roles within the International Baccalaureate Educator Network and examines for international curricula including IB, IGCSE, and A-levels. His international teaching experience spans Spain, Hong Kong, and South Korea, complemented by his contributions to educational advancement through school accreditation committees and academic publications.
Jessica Shan is a strategic curriculum leader, instructional coach, and language educator with 20 years of experience in international education. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the National University of Singapore, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from Nanyang Technological University, and a Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard University. She is also an experienced examiner for both Cambridge A-Level and IB Diploma Program.
Jessica brings deep expertise in curriculum design, pedagogical leadership, and teacher development. Over the past five years, she has led system-wide initiatives to align K–12 Chinese language curricula, develop data-informed professional learning, and foster instructional innovation. Her leadership empowers schools to implement brain-based, culturally responsive, and technology-integrated practices that support diverse learners in multilingual environments.
