About IAF - Home to Professional Facilitators

IAF was founded in 1994 as non-profit body dedicated to Facilitation as a profession.  Our volunteer teams use their passion and commitment to support our members and practice in 65 countries and regions.

We defined the core competencies , values and code of ethics by the facilitators, continuously maintain our knowledge centers and practice network to enable the systematic growth of more practitioners. 

IAF started its footprint in Asia early on 1998 and the pioneers gathered in Singapore for the first Asia Conference. With some breaks in the covid and we would hold our 25th Asia Conference this Oct 31-Nov. 1 in Hangzhou.

Scholarship

The IAF Asia Conference 2026 Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the six recipients of the IAF Asia Conference 2026 Scholarship Program.

Since the launch of the program, we received applications from emerging facilitators across Asia, each bringing their own unique passion, practice, and vision for the future of facilitation. Every candidate nominated by their local IAF chapter demonstrated genuine commitment and potential. The selection process was deeply inspiring, though not easy.

After a careful review and conversations with the final nominees, the following six individuals have been selected as the scholarship recipients — one from each participating IAF chapter:

Each recipient will receive:

• A full conference ticket to the IAF Asia Conference 2026, taking place on 31 October – 1 November 2026 in Hangzhou, China

• Accommodation support for three nights (30 October – 2 November) in Hangzhou

These six facilitators stood out not only for their growing practice, but also for their deep passion for facilitation and their clear vision to help the field grow in their local communities. They represent the kind of “seeds” we hope will continue to flourish and inspire others across Asia.

We also wish to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who applied and to the IAF chapters who carefully nominated their candidates. Your energy and dedication are what make the facilitation community in Asia so vibrant.

We look forward to welcoming all facilitators — scholarship recipients, volunteers, and participants — to Hangzhou this autumn for the 25th IAF Asia Facilitation Conference.
