Hangzhou Tourism Information

Hangzhou Tourism Information Channels

Hangzhou is known as the Paradise on Earth, where lakes and mountains set off each other with a time-honored charm. The clear West Lake ripples gently, with the Su Causeway and Bai Causeway stretching across the water, presenting poetic scenery at every step. The solemn and age-old Leifeng Pagoda, with upturned eaves and carved beams and painted rafters, stands quietly by the lake, carrying legends of thousands of years. Nestled among mountains and woods, Lingyin Temple is shaded by towering ancient trees and filled with curling incense smoke, brimming with serene Buddhist charm. Hefang Street retains the style of a traditional Jiangnan ancient street. Its white walls, black tiled roofs and bluestone pavements fully embody the classic elegance of the south of the Yangtze River.

A trip to Hangzhou would not be complete without tasting local delicacies. Braised Pork in Soy Sauce shines with a glossy reddish hue, boasting tender, mellow meat that melts in the mouth. Longjing Shrimp is fresh and sweet, infused with a faint tea fragrance, delicate and refreshing. West Lake Fish in Vinegar Sauce features tender fish with a perfect sweet and sour flavor, a unique classic taste of Jiangnan. There are also savory and delicious Pian'erchuan noodles, crispy shallot pancakes, and soft sweet DingSheng cakes. Every bite embodies the unique gentle local flavor of Hangzhou.
