It is a hugely important hub for the region, connecting much of Asia with the rest of the world, with direct flights to most major cities globally.

HKG to HKU

MTR (https://www.mtr.com.hk/): MTR Airport Express Airport Station to Hong Kong Station (24 minutes, $130 HKD), walk to the Central Station, MTR Island Line Central Station to HKU Station (5 minute, $6 HKD).

Citybus (https://www.citybus.com.hk/home/default.aspx?intLangID=1): Cityflyer Routes (A10), Airport (Ground Transportation Center) to Shek Tong Tsui Complex, Queen's Road West (50 minutes, $50 HKD), walk to HKU

Taxi: ~50 minutes, ~400 HKD

Railway Station:

Hong Kong West Kowloon Station (https://www.highspeed.mtr.com.hk/en/main/index.html) is conveniently located next to the West Kowloon Cultural District. The High-Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section) runs from West Kowloon, connecting Hong Kong with the Mainland's national high-speed rail network. It provides services from Hong Kong to major Mainland cities without interchange. Tickets could be purchased from 12306 (https://www.12306.cn/en/index.html) or other 3rd party retailers.

From Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to HKU

MTR (https://www.mtr.com.hk/en/customer/main/index.html): Walk to Kowloon Station, MTR Tung Chung Line Kowloon Station to Hong Kong Station (3 minute, $12.5 HKD), walk to Central Station, MTR Island Line Central Station to HKU Station (5 minute, $6 HKD).

Citybus (https://www.citybus.com.hk/home/default.aspx?intLangID=1): Routine 970 or 973, Austin Station to HKU West Gate Station (29 minutes, $14.5 HKD)

In Town Transportation

Hong Kong has one of the most convenient subway systems, provided by the HK Mass Transit Railway (https://www.mtr.com.hk). It is highly recommended to travel by MTR in the city for your own convince.

HK Taxi (https://www.td.gov.hk/en/transport_in_hong_kong/public_transport/taxi/index.html) provides a personalized, convenient point-to-point transport service for passengers. In Hong Kong, different taxis operate in different designated areas. Red taxis: Operate throughout most of Hong Kong, except for Tung Chung Road on Lantau Island and the entire south side of Lantau Island

Green taxis: Operate only in the New Territories

Blue taxis: Operate only on Lantau Island
